We stopped at the charming well covered Cafe Patio of this Hotel for Wine,Beer and Bratwursts.Excellent! We were entertained by a small German Band and watched many dancing. This quaint town is just past this hotel and around the corner.Quaint shops and atmosphere. There is a Train station at this small town along the Rhine. Worth a stop while you are looking at Castles!
I was there with a couple of friends, just for one night. We booked the place to sleep in the barrels which was adventures. The bathroom and toilet was enormous, very good size. The second night I would rather wanted to spend in the uppers rooms. The place is nice and clean, nice, cosy restaurant in the hotel and very tasty and rich breakfast.
Due to a massive road diversion we arrived after 11pm but this wonderful hotel & staff were still up & served us with our three course dinner. Not grumpy at all even though I am sure that they would have preferred to be home in bed! They even managed to cater for my vegetarian needs! A very traditional German hotel, warm & welcoming with very beautiful decor. Our room could have been bigger but it was clean, warm & comfortable. Centrally located & a stones throw away from the market stalls in the stunning river side town.
We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a Christmas market tour. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean, tidy and very comfortable. The meals were well presented although there was no choice so some people did not like it. I would have given 5 stars if there had been a choice for the evening meals. However breakfast was amazing...cereals, different breads, cheeses and cooked meats, fruit salad, yoghurt, scrambled or boiled eggs, sausages, patisseries, jams and fruit juice as well as coffee or tea. They also have big wine barrels converted into room, they look amazing and I would like to go back and stay in one of those. Vielen Dank....Das Hotel ist Wunderbar. Wir wollen eines Tages zurück kommen und vielleicht für eine Woche bleiben.
then this is the hotel for you. I don't like to say anything bad about hotels, but for us, it was not good. It sits next to 2 beer gardens, and they are wild and colorful. We were there on a weekend in October. Everyone was having a wonderful time. We went to our room at 10 pm to sleep. Hahaha. 80 degrees and no air conditioning in an attic room. We had to leave the windows open, and the laughing, singing, yelling went on til 3:00 am. If I went again, I would be ready to party all night instead. The staff is wonderful, and the breakfast is good. City is charming. I would stay higher on the hill thought, to avoid the noise. Earplugs in our room gave us our first clue.
Booked online, one night of our tour of Europe by car. Our prebooked parking space was well marked with our name on arrival, made the whole arrival so easy, the room was a little small however still good value for money, something UK hotels should note, as many are vastly over priced. A light lunch alfresco, adjacent to the popular visitor street was excellent. Breakfast was full of choice and overall a great stay.
This was just fun and funky---only down side was the beds are made for shorter people than my husband at 6'4". it has a great little main area attached with a couch and TV and a super bathroom. It also has a charming little sitting area out front.
So we startedand finished our trip in Ruedesheim. Had to have the wine barrrel room and it was a blast. Small, beds are about 5 10 and I am 6 4, but you have to do this once....they have a good sitiing room and great bathroom. The shower would have been criminal in California after 5 years of drought, and it felt absolutely great!!! Centrally located on the Drosselgasse, and with interior court parking. Free internet, great service and staff! The restaurant has live music and a festive atmosphere. You get a free coupla glasses of local sparkling wine which is quite good. So our plan was to spend the night, leave early and hit Frankfurt airport for a 9 20 am flight. Desk told us it is 45 min with no traffic--at 6 am it was exactly 45 min, turn in the rental car and we were easily in time to check in early. Will do this again!
We reached Rhudesheim around 11pm by train from Frankfurt. We had booked at another hotel and had confirmed with them a few days earlier that we should be reaching late. Unfortunately, they quite forgot about our booking, and we were stranded in a strange place with our taxi driver speaking very little English. We saw this hotel next door and went there. They were quite gracious in making us comfortable in a large room. The beds and bathroom left no place for complaints. The breakfast was very sumptuous and included wine and varieties of cheese and cold cuts. The yoghurt, cakes and eggs were also excellent. As we had to take a Rhine ferry at 9.15 a.m. we did not have much time at this quaint and beautiful place. The staff was very pleasant and even made our inquires at the KD line, whose boat we were taking.
Resonably priced hotel. Recently renovated. European music played at night during the height of the season. Good food, and plenty of it. Good ,friendly, attentive staff. Pretty garden to sit out in during good weather. 10 out of 10
