Regular Courtyard, no surprises. Which is what Courtyards are for. There us literally nothing around, so this hotel is only good for a one night sleep when you are on the road. But for this it does the job.
Sebastian at the front desk was a nice introduction to the courtesy of Germany. He made us feel like we were checking into the Ritz. Clean, quiet and comfy-great beds. Was able to book with a very reasonable amount of points. Great breakfast, but not cheap.
Hotel is located in village outside Wiesbaden. As we were travelling by car, this was not an issue. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also good. Staff were friendly and helpful. We also had dinner in the hotel which, again, was as expected. Very comfortable overnight stay.
We truly enjoyed our stay here but only as we got a very good deal for our room. As former Hilton Worldwide Chief Engineer I expected different service for a Marriott hotel, clearly this Marriott is mainly aiming on tour groups and true is perfect for it but our room was small and service in night of arrival was average for a higher class hotel! After a badly needed sleep the say shift staff was much better and gave us a mixed feeling about this hotel as the morning staff was clearly up to the level of hotel rating Marriott has. The location is perfect and Wiesbaden is a great city.
My family and i were in Wiesbaden for a long weekend in Germany in July. Wiesbaden is a beautiful town in Hessen. The surroundings are mountainous with pretty forests, which make it a nice place for walks to enjoy the scenery. We were staying at the Marriott as it is a decent, and affordable hotel. We were actually intending to go to Heidelberg, but found the hotel prices there very high, and as we came by car, we decided to go to Wiesbaden instead, and drive to Heidelberg on Saturday morning for a day visit. Friday night we arrived at the Courtyard. Parking is for free, and the location is nice, close to the highway to downtown Wiesbaden. You can tell that a large part of their clientele is American, as they even have the US military newspaper Stars and Stripes lying in the lobby. The rooms are nice and roomy. The lobby is friendly and open, with the usual Courtyard little shop where you can buy drinks and snacks. Breakfast is good, a combination of the typical American breakfast staple with some German touches. As said, location is pleasant, close to the highway, with a supermarket at the other side of the street and several restaurants in the vicinity. The staff speaks excellent English and is very helpful and friendly. When in the region, we will certainly come back here.
As this is the courtyard brand of Marriott don't expect any frills such as room service, concierge or assistance with baggage. What you do get is a very clean, updated, good appointed, larger than normal standard room for Europe. Check in staff are helpful with any information required and the breakfast is comprehensive with cold cuts, cheese, cereals, hot food, juices, pastries and hot drinks. We ordered 2 salads one evening and had to go down to the restaurant to collect them. We didn't mind doing this, but it was awkward trying to manoeuvre a tray of food and swipe and push the lift. We highly recommend the hotel for the price.
Nice hotel, nothing extravagant but clean with comfortable rooms and big beds, in a very convenient location to explore the area around...free coffee, tea and chocolate with a water boiler in the room...
We stayed in this hotel for one night as a stop on a our trip from italy back to the Netherlands. At the service desk we were super friendly welcomed by Ramona, the acting desk manager. The rooms were nice and clean, modern style, decent bed and the showers were excellent. We had a small diner, with a good and affordable wine, and the food was okay. In contrast, the breakfast was below average, with cold potatoes, and several items were not refilled in time.
We only stayed one night on our way through town. Good, friendly service. Nice breakfast. Decent sized rooms, but wish they had more pillows in the rooms. Also very few plug outlets, so it's tough on a family with multiple items that need charging.
This hotel is outside of town, but close to the highway so nothing is to far out of reach. There is a large market (think Wal-Mart) 5 minute walk from the hotel to get a few things if needed. The hotel staff is very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and quiet which I appreciated after a long day. There is also a mini fridge is you need to keep something cold. The a/c worked like a charm. The Wi-Fi worked well enough for our needs. Bed was comfortable. The bathroom was slightly different with the sliding glass doors, but wasn't a bother. All in all great stay!
