So I don’t believe that this place should be called a “resort” because there are no special facilities or amenities. However, the rooms are nice and comfortable, quiet (other than the occasional late night train - but this is probably a problem with all the nearby accommodations) They provide a small basket of breakfast items such as fruit, muffin and cereal. There is a coffee pot and fridge with milk and juice provided. The people here were very nice and helpful.
Silver Wolf Log Chalets. We spent an overnight, hoping to enjoy Glacier Park on a Sunday afternoon and Monday morning. But it rained and parts of the Going to the Sun Road were socked in by pea soup fog. When we arrived at this sweet log cabin, so close to (but it felt so far from) the "highway", designed and built in the Amish way, nestled amongst other log cabins in beautiful natural landscaping, I “let go” of my disappointment and felt immediately warm, welcomed, and at peace. We had a microwave, fridge, access to a freezer, an electrci "fireplace" heater, and so on. We had asked for a quiet cabin, and it was soooo peaceful! The only “negative” (if this bothers you) is that the wall between the bathroom and living area did not extend all the way to the ceiling- it’s part of the design- so the bathroom light illuminated both rooms. This didn't bother us at all. In fact, in my dreams, I'd love to come back with my extended family and rent the whole place out!
Very roomy cabins with ample porch nicely decorated and love the gas fire stove. Highly recommend this property. Jason, the proprietor and the staff were extremely courteous and helpful. This property is high on the value scale. A mere six or seven miles from the entrance to Glacier National Park it is the perfect launch pad for exploring the park. Weekday rates are excellent. Would definitely stay here again. Oh, thank you for a real coffee maker instead of those pod things.
Went to West Glacier to celebrate a wedding. What a delightful surprise when we arrived at Silverwolf. We found the cabin very clean, decorated warm and inviting, very cozy and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The grounds are very well cared for - lovely even as they were preparing them for winter. A breakfast basket for us each day with muffins, juice, fruit and energy bars. Just perfect for us - with a cafe very nearby when we were wanting a hot breakfast. We enjoyed it so much we chose to stay an extra night. Lovely spot. If they get good quality mattresses I would give them a 5!
Delightful log cabins within easy reach of Glacier NP but away from the crowds. They are close to each other but still private and quiet. The cabins are comfortable and well stocked with continental breakfast every day. Would definitely visit again.
The outside of this place is charming and the gardens are well tended. We loved the chairs on the porch on a fall evening. They really need new mattresses Without plastic covers. It was not a comfortable night. And then there were the trains, complete with whistles, every freaking hour. This isn’t just a problem for this resort. It’s a problem for the town. I didn’t mind the portable breakfast. We actually went and had breakfast at Russels at the lodge in the park at West Glacier. The staff is friendly and helpful. I really do hope they can update the cabins and provide ear plugs. This has potential that I hope they can fulfill.
A charming chalet and well located near Glacier suffers from lack of attention. The promised breakfast was mediocre packaged food and the service was perfunctory. Would definitely not stay here despite the lovely exterior and decorative touches inside.
From YNP to West Glacier, picked here to stop overnight, from other reviews can see property is very pretty, we arrived super late past 11pm, owner and stuff was very friendly, super easy check in and out, inside cabin is simple unique and clean. Some reviews said was noisy from the trail, I drove all day and was out as soon as I hit the bed lol, was a good sleep didn't hear anything was noisy. Great location, minuets to Glacier west entrance.
At first glance the Silverwolf presents an appealing ambience....too bad that looks are deceiving....the cabin itself was clean and stocked with packaged cereals, a couple pieces of fruit and some B- grade energy bars....the bed was lumpy, when asked for an extra blanket we were given another bed spread....the linen and sole blanket had an off smell....serenity destroyed by frequent train traffic.....the TV set was an adventure to turn on and WiFi access almost non existent from outer cabins....understand that TV and WiFi are not that important to me BUT if offered it should work.....we left a day early...one staff member was able to turn TV on but the next day the substitute staffer had same problem that we did....she seemed as flummoxed as were we....
Family owned small cabins small friendly staff. Didn't spend much time during day. Except for hwy noise, actual place very quite! Lucky enough to see a real silver wolf in park! They leave fruit, cereal, and huge muffins in your room along with milk and juice. It's nice because if you're hiking early or want a snack, it is available. Everyone we met was extremely friendly and genuine.
