Well located in the heart of the village, but there is no on-site parking, though there are large pay and display parks very close by. Reception staff were pleasant and eager to help. There is nothing wrong with the place and it's very functional, but we felt a distinct lack of ambience. The room was fine but suffered from equipment noise, particularly the fridge.
Very well located in the village. Lots of restaurants and shops around the hotel and/or a short walk away. Room was quite comfortable and having a fridge and stove was great as we did decide to eat in a couple of times. Fireplace was cozy and while there was a jacuzzi, we did not use it. We will definitely stay at this property when we are next back. PS; parking is very convenient to the hotel.
Our room was facing Avalanche Pizza (pedestrian walkway). We barely slept in the two nights we were here because of the location of our room. From 11pm to 2:30am every night people would gather at the pizza place (fighting, loud, yelling). When we informed the reception, we were informed they were aware of the situation but couldn't do anything about it. I proposed that they inform visitors prior to booking or upon arrival. Had the location of our room been different, our experience would have been much different. If you are tempted to book here, I suggest that you book a room far away from Avalanche Pizza. Perhaps towards the inside courtyard. I personally don’t feel it’s worth the savings.
Nice condo style room with small kitchenette. Front desk is always very helpful. They do have a hokey portable air conditioner which may or may not have issues. Location is perfect, right in the heart of the village. Good price for what you get.
We stayed here for two nights and had a mediocre stay. It's in a great location and the room was clean and tidy. It took us a while to find where to park because you have to sign in at a different location to the actual lodge. It then took us a while to locate our room and the correct lift to take, as these are not signposted! When I asked for directions from the downstairs lobby, the lady at the desk tried to be as helpful as she could, but did inform me that she didn't actually work for the lodge. It took us about an hour from original check in to get parked up in the correct area and into our room. I don't really understand why the lobby isn't affiliated with the lodge and you have to sign in somewhere else. The room was clean and tidy and the pull down bed was comfortable however only one pillow was provided for two of us. We did have to sleep with earplugs in due to the air-conditioning and the fridge being so noisy! Overall I probably wouldn't stay here again due to the inconveniences we experienced.
Spoke to the hotel in advance and they mentioned the IronMan and said to get into town before 11:45am. We did and it didn't matter. We couldn't park until 11:30pm and had to move our car around all day. We asked to speak to the manager, but were told that he wasn't around. At the end they still charged us for parking despite the fact we paid on the street. Eventually after much arguing the guy removed the bill. That still didn't make up for the maze of rooms (make sure you are next to other people if you arrive together because you need to take different elevators and seek them out) nor the rooms which were too hot for the tiny air con.
Spent 2 nights with my son to celebrate my birthday! It is a cozy place, right in the village, lots of restaurants around and as it was a long weekend, there were free concerts in the evenings. Had a great time. It is just a simple, central, clean place to enjoy yourself and go out for long walks.
We are a family of 12 and stayed in 3 rooms for 5 days. At 4 people per room, we found some rooms are larger and some are smaller, but still adequate. The beds are comfortable, and the pull down bed are ok. They don't clean the room every day, but provides towel and toilet paper upon request. Bath tub is on the old side and a little stained, so you don't want to use the massage bath tub. Summer air conditioning is done with a portable ac unit. The exhaust duct of our unit was not properly connected, and was temporarily fixed with duct tape. While it leaked a bit of hot air inside the room, ac was working. Stove, microwave and fridge are good. Dishes and utensils are clean. I don't hear people next door and had good sleep. Parking is not included, but at $20/day/vehicle. In summary, we had a good stay, and the staff are very friendly.
Stayed two nights . Right in village so close to restaurants . Whistler gondola and trails . Room great with full kitchen very comfortable. Also had washing machine and tumble dryer so great for families as well.
Booked for a week traveling solo to ride my bike in Whistler. Late June, still quiet and chilled. Friendly staff upon arrival, studio matched the description and pictures showed online and was perfect for the purpose. Comfortable, convenient and super well located. Wifi worked perfect and at the end I left with zero complaints. For the money I was more than happy with what I got! Will most probably be back! See you then...
