Cable and Internet are provided. A bus stop is just at the end of the street.

Old and smelly

Don't stay here. When we called the owner around 2 or 3 o'clock so that we could get into the house he informed us that it wouldn't be ready until 7:00 PM. When we finally met him a little after 7:00, he was still cleaning the place and it smelled strongly of bleach. The owner tried to convince us that we didn't want the original property and he took us to a much smaller property that had only 2 bedrooms. I had spoken to the owner twice just 2 days before we arrived and he said that he would leave a key for unit 3. We had reserved unit 2. Turns out that he did not want to put is in unit 2 at the original property and there was no unit 3. The smaller place was a couple of blocks away. This was not what we paid for but the owner told us that he'd reimburse us. This was feeling like a bait-and-switch. Maybe he overbooked because he said that we might have to stay Sunday night at unit 3. We told him we wouldn't do that. We wanted the larger property that we reserved and paid for so he took us back to the original. By the next morning after the bleach smell wore off, the house smelled old and musty. Generally, the property is run-down and in bad need of basic maintenance such as paint. The wooden slats in the ceiling have nails protruding from them and some of the slats are warped and look as though they could come down at any moment. The place is furnished in early-American Garage Sale--there's no rhyme or reason as to the furnishings. They, too, are old and in need of repair. The window coverings are threadbare and, again, look like garage sale rejects. The light switch in the bathroom barely protruded from the switch so you had to dig your finger into the slot to turn on the light. There was no hair dryer. No coffee. The shower in one of the bathrooms was unusable. and the water barely dribbled out--and if anyone used any water--zero water flow. Laughably, we paid for the damage insurance. We should have been paid for hazardous duty.

Rental at 827 Briggs At unit 2, west palm beach, Fl

It was a great experience. Although the house is a little old, it was very clean and had plenty of room. The owner was very nice and left clean towels ready for us. We also had Wi-Fi and space to park our rental vehicle. I would recommend this property and will definitely use it again in the future. Thank you!!
