Needed a place to use as a base camp while exploring Colorado and also doing a little business up in Cheyenne, WY. This home worked out very well as it was just a short 30 min drive from Cheyenne and we could also get to lots of restaurants and walking trails in Fort Collins in about 20 minutes. We also got to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park in about 40 minutes and you are about an hour from down down Denver.
The home is pretty new and the neighborhood is very clean and safe. We brought our dogs and working with Marc was a breeze.
The things that surprised us were that the back yard was not fenced in...exactly as the photos show. We assumed because it was dog friendly that it would be fenced in, but that is not the case. There is a walking trail right behind the house, but you don't have a gate or door to get to it, so you will need to walk down the street and do a loop...not a big deal. The back yard is also not in great shape. Its on a steep slope and the small patio is about 4' off the ground, so if you have kids, or in our case, an older dog, we just didn't allow them back there at all for fear they would fall. You should also know there is a train that runs next to the house, right off the walking trail, which was a bit of a surprise for us late at night.
The home itself is great. 3 nice bedrooms on a single story, with 2 bathrooms and a nice kitchen. There is also laundry which was helpful for us to go home with clean clothes. There is keyless entry too, so getting in and out is super easy with the code Marc will give you.
The only other thing I would add is that the town of Wellington is small. Like one grocery story small. So if you want to eat something that isn't McDonalds, Subway or Burger King, you will probably be driving to either Fort Collins or Cheyenne...which isn't that bad as both are very close.
Another cool thing is a local park we found on the last day...Wellington Community Park. The first time we found a dog park with a small pond for the dogs to swim and play...its on the North side of town. Great for kids, or you can even use their batting cages.
Marc is a good guy....if you need a place in the area, this is a great option.
