I would recommend this hotel to all people. From the moment I walked in the receptionist was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean . I am very sceptical about hotels but this hotel has been a great experience. All the workers including the cleaning crew are all nice people. I'f I had to rent a room here in Weatherford TX again I'd rent one here. Wifi is great. Appliances all work in the kitchenette. Air conditioner works great. New carpet , new paint job smells good. They also have a complimentary breakfast . I'd give it a 10.
I stayed one night on Friday, July 8, and it was a terrible experience First of all, I could not get into the room because the door handle was broken. . I booked for a King size bed and got a room with 2 beds. It was supposed to be non-smoking, but there were cigarette burns on the sink, There was black mold on the caulking of the bathtub. The carpet was dirty. The air-conditioner was very noisy, and when I first walked in, it was very, very hot. They offered WI FI, and it would not let me connect. They offered a continental breakfast, but all they had was bananas, cereal, coffee and juice, and honey buns, even though I went early. I would not recommend this place to anyone, as it is poorly run.
The WiFi is password protected but good luck getting them to answer the phone to fix it. There were cockroaches and cockroach eggs in kitchen and bathroom. Mold in kitchen drawers. Fixtures missing. Smelled horrible and when we tried to speak with front desk lady about no one answering calls and WiFi problems the lady yelled that everyone else's worked fine. Wow. Will never return. These ppl alone have ruined the Americas Best Value Inn brand for us.
I have a membership at abv inns/hotels.I had a card for 15% off. I drove around the hotel, and its small, doesn't seem too bad. Still has a decent paint job, etc... I went in the office and asked if there were any vacancies. Dude says yes, I ask how much. 50.89 with tax. I said cool, do you except these, and I handed him the disc card. He said yeah, handed it back and said 50.89 with tax.... Lol.. OK, whatever. I took the room, threw all my crap in it...and left to tcb. Came back a bit b4 dark,so I turned on all the lights so I could check for zombies....I mean predators. The room was very dusty and the TV had smudges on it. I checked under the bed...no predators, but I did find a makeup bag, I'm assuming it was from the previous guest/s. The air/heat worked excellent, and...if you overlook the rust, it comes with a kitchenette as well. And there was enough furniture in the room to safely reinforce the door.😊 Conteniental brkfst consisted of bananas, cereal, and honey buns....😣 Told the mgr about the bag, dust, rust exc... He just stared at me..😶no apologetic look, word...anything.... 😒 Like I said, if you need a place to crash for the night....its not overly horrible. Just don't forget to check under the bed......😱
I let my husband book the room on line. My first mistake!! The worst Tavel day ever. The rain in Texas was unbelievable, four hours of backup due to wrecks. The out side of the motel looked OK, we booked two rooms, if there was somewhere else to stay we would have moved. The manager walked by as we were taking our luggage in, he looked in the room, said I well be back with blankets, came back and said here "make the beds". My husband did!!! Never never again!! The refrigerator had food left from the last people, long black hair everywhere. No No No,do not stay here, except it was warmer than our car. We survived.
Of course this isn't a 5 star hotel, but in this price category it is definitely top notch. The room was very clean and comfortable and the sheets and towels were much nicer than I usually find in a $50 motel. Nevermind the drive from the interstate and nevermind the smell of curry in the lobby...you won't regret staying here.
I came to Weatherford on a travel work assignment in the healthcare field and was told about this place by a co-worker. I moved here after 10 days' stay in Fort Worth to be nearer my job location and have been here for over 7 months. I have had a very enjoyable stay, and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Initially I was in a no-pets, no smoking room, but when I asked to get a pet, they worked quickly to prepare a room for me to move into in order to allow me to purchase my companion, and even helped me make the move! I feel safe in the neighborhood and enjoy sitting outside to read and visit with other guests in the evenings and on the weekends. The property is neat and well-kept, and pet and people friendly. This motel feels like its own neighborhood, and makes this small town girl feel right at home. I have enjoyed my stay so much that I have joined the Value Club for this chain and will look for more of them as I travel for other work assignments.
THE absolute worst place I ever stayed at since I was 11 years old. When I checked in, the manager told me that the only nonsmoking room available had a nonworking heater and that they were working on it. They installed a broken unit to replace the nonworking one -- it would blow lukewarm, then cold air. About four hours came and went while they replaced some part -- that didn't work, so then they FINALLY brought in the last working unit they had. The wifi went out later that night, and when I called the manager about it, he argued with me (REALLY??) about it. All this time, I kept hearing some loud, boisterous guy in the room next to me hollering, singing and carrying on at all hours, leading me to have to use a white noise app on my phone so that I could sleep. The shower smelled like chlorine and made a loud screeching noise. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and I had back pain all three days that I stayed there. Fixtures were missing from the room, and I got the impression that this has always been the bottom tier hotel in town. If not for the ice on the roads that day and the proximity to the hospital where a relative was staying, I would've opted to pay more and stay at a two or three star place.
When I walked in the room there was a head shaped indention on the pillow. I walked over to the bed and there was hair all over the pillow. When I pulled back the covers there was hair all in the sheets. It was the hairiest room I've ever seen. Obviously they do not vacuum because there were coins all over the carpet. Inside the unwashed bath tub was an empty bottle of shampoo and the cap was lying in the tub by the drain. To say this room was absolutely disgusting would be an understatement, and there is no way it had even been cleaned. There are way too many other options in Weatherford for this place to be so unacceptable.
The location of the hotel is good, fairly decent neighborhood. The room was huge for the price paid, but the kitchen wall was covered in grease from the stove, the bed was extremely hard, the water pressure was so good it hurt to take a shower. The room itself smelled like smoke so much so that I had to wash my clothes and blanket because they smelled awful. Upon returning home, I realized I had forgotten my pillow there. Called to ask what they could do about it and they're making me pay to get it shipped back to me. Fine, I understand that, but the manager, Mr. Patel, was extremely rude. He said I had to mail a money order and if it was one cent more than what I sent, he wouldn't ship it because "he wasn't going to pull money out of his own pocket". What a way to treat a customer that chose to give you their business - next time I know. The lady who checked us in was nice and sweet...Mr. Patel should take a lesson in customer service from her!
