Property is in a dire need of cleaning and updating

The "breakfast" was sparse, no meat at all, looked hastily thrown together, messy milk and yogurt frig, eggs were dry, hash browns were not cooked and were cold. Carpets were dirty in hallways, side door did not allow key card access and was propped open when we arrived. Front desk clerk had an attitude like we were interrupting his day.

management did a poor job holding guests accountable during quiet hours, the family across the hall was running in and out of their room all night and slamming the door everytime up until 3am keeping my family awake on and off the whole time, they were in the pool past close and bbqing outside with the manager in charge

Poorly remodeled rooms, lousy mattress old, pillows shot, sheets thin as toilet paper, over priced, no internet, it's blocked but you think you have it, no electrical outlets for convenience. Surprised Wyndham associates their name with this location.Nice people though.

front desk person was never at front desk. reserved a king suite... looked nothing like the reservation picture. No cot, no pullout couch, no garbage cans at all in the room or bathroom. bed comforter had stains all over it. Could not connect to the wifi... seemed like the front desk lady had her boyfriend there talking to her for hours. There were lots of random men in and out of the lobby and in the parking lot. The breakfast food was limited. Sausage and gravy with no biscuits. No orange juice or apple juice. 1 small cardboard container of milk in the frig .. so you couldn't eat cereal. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Staff was excellent. Very clean. Air conditioning did not work and it was extremely hot in room. Hot tub was not hot but colder than the regular pool.

We were happy to stay because it was a Baymont, but man it needed some work... the TV was broken, the heater was broken, the toilet didn't flush unless you jammed the flushed down, there were stains on the bed, the mirror was falling off in the bathroom, there was no ceiling light but there was a Walmart bag used to 'cap' the whole and a gross sience experiment in the fridge/freezer. When we brought the science experiment up to the front desk their response was "do you want a rag with some mr. clean so you can clean it up?".... not impressed

Unfortunately, the Baymont is the only hotel in Waunakee. The price was cheap so our business booked 4 rooms. I booked four king bed rooms. 2 of the rooms were king bed, 2 of the rooms were double full beds. One of the doubles had a bathroom light full of bugs, the other my coworker was greeted by a Culver's straw wrapper on the floor and a funky 60's style woven mat under his tv (he opted not to find out what might be lurking under it). The hairdryer in my king room decided to quit after about a minute and would not restart no matter what I did (tried resets, nothing). When I asked for a receipt upon checking out, I was told I had booked online and I could get one that way (how long does it take to print a receipt?) in a snippy tone. The breakfast was disappointing at best - sausages burnt, eggs obviously powdered, cereal stale. We stuck to the prepackaged stuff and opted for Kwik Trip coffee after the first sip. Look, the price is reasonable. But the service and condition of the hotel need definite improvement.

Staff pleasant. Building in disrepair. Room service never came. Breakfast meager.

Within minutes of choosing hotel, the price was increased by $10 when we arrived at 8pm, our bed did not have any covers on it. We had to ask for covers and make the bed ourselves. They were cleaning the pool after 8pm but stopped when we wanted to use it. We could see dirt at the bottom of the pool. They said they would clean it overnight. In the morning, the dirt was still there. There were only two lights on in the pool area at night. There was no electronic board in the phone in our room to call front desk so the phone didn't work. We had to walk down to tell them about bed. We also had to get ice from front desk.

Stopped in Saturday morning to tell them we'd be checking in late which we did around 10-11 pm. Had reserved two queen beds and when we arrived we hit a room with one king bed. Two mid thirties men are nit going to sleep together. Bright us a cot and still charged me for the two queen bed rate. Will never return.

The staff members were friendly, but the hotel has obviously changed hands and the new owners don't have desire or money to keep things up. The faucet knob came off in my hand because it wasn't connected to the faucet. We had hot water, but our relatives in another room had cool shower water. The floor lamp was hopelessly broken; the curtains were torn and stained; the carpets have serious wear patterns; and there is nothing on the walls except for a few nails sticking out where something used to hang. The best part of breakfast was pre-packaged yogurt. Even the toilet paper was flimsy. The one stuffed chair in the room had little stuffing in it. I won't stay here again, and I hope the really nice lady who cleaned our room gets a better job. She told the manager about the problems with the room and when we returned later that day we had a new floor lamp, new curtains, and the faucet handle was fixed.

We came to town for the night to visit friends from out of state, so we didn't want to spend a lot of money on a hotel, and we wanted something close. Well, that's about what we got. It was a so-so room, it met our needs, but in the morning the maid knocked on our door and as I was going to look to see who it was, she started coming in on her own. This was over an hour before check-out time. She claimed that her list said we had already checked out. Then after speaking with our parents who were staying two doors down from us, the same thing happened to them. I'm not sure exactly what kind of a system they use, but I didn't really appreciate having the maid walk in on us. Also, we got a king sized bed, but there were just four very small (and kind of pathetic) pillows on the bed. If you're not going to have the king sized pillows on a king sized bed, at least provide 6 pillows. Given all of this, I probably will stay there next year when we are in town, because it is the only hotel option in town, and it was cheap enough.

HAD TWO ROOMS WHEN I GOT THERE WAS ONE ROOM AFTER NEARLY HALF HOOUR WAIT. STAFF WAS MOST UNCOPERATIVE AND DOWN RIGHT RUDE AT TIMES. SLEPT IN MY CAR AS I HAD TO LET MY OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS SLEEP IN ROOM.

had fun staying at this hotel....nice pool for the kids and warm jacuzzi for the adults...not too busy at the hotel so the noise level was in the acceptable range (one of our children has trouble with loud noise). Nice time for family together.....then good selection for the continental breakfast. We always like to stay here when we are in the area.

We found the hotel functional. Our concern was the attention to detail with housekeeping. Don't leave your Do Not Disturb sign on the door. Once housekeeping sees it, they will not check back to clean your room. We removed the sign at 10 am, when we left for the day's activities. Unlike other hotels, housekeeping did not check back later in the day to see if the sign was removed. We were given clean towels after complaining to the front desk. The bathroom was cleaned the next day, however beds weren't touched. The staff was clearly wary of us after our complaints. Unfortunately, the hotel did not offer a refund for their oversights, but they certainly checked the complete room the remainder of our stay. The gym is still "under construction". It is the same status as my last visit seven months earlier. We stayed at the Baymont as it is the only hotel in Waunakee. We were a captive audience. Ownership needs to develop procedures for resolving customer issues.

Very adequate for what I needed - a place to stay for Epic's UGM

It looked as though they were working on updating, had taken over from a previous hotel chain. I was concerned about a clump of vacuum cleaner lint/ dirt and a nail found on the floor in the first room, the clerk was very, very apologetic, and nice, and moved us to another room. Unfortunately there was a bad odor in the second room, it was late and I probably should have changed rooms again, however we just dealt with it. I'm sure they are renovating, and my timing was perhaps not the greatest.

In the past year we've made significant updates to the hotel, including redoing the lobby, porch, and deck, updating the pool mechanicals, the lighting, and new flooring. And we keep it nice and clean.

For a better experience next time, we recommend waiting for the breakfast to be served starting at 6 am, rather than eating from the half set up buffet at around 5:30. Which is what our clerk tried to explain to you. Also, hallways are vacuumed later in the day out of respect for our sleeping guests. And yes, our side door locks automatically as a security measure. And whenever we find a guest has propped the door open, which is against our rules, we will close it. Thank you for your understanding.

Of course our grilling area is an amenity for all of our guests to use, and our staff is encouraged to be friendly towards our guests and mingle with them when they use our amenities. However it is unfortunate that you were unhappy with the children of another family of guests. Guest services and security are a call away 24/7. Whenever a guest requests assistance for noisy neighbors, we respond immediately.
