Crystal City Marriott at Reagan National Airport

3.5 out of 5.0

Staff was helpful in getting us a cab at 4:45 am, but we picked the hotel based on Orbitz' web site and got this reply from Marriott: Thank you for your feedback. As you booked through Orbitz, it is apparent that they have misrepresented our services. We do not advertise a 24 hour shuttle on our website. Thank you for this information as it will allow us to follow up with Orbitz and correct their error.

Comfortable and affordable Crystal City location.

Close to airport, free shuttle from/to airport. My room is big, and hotel staff are very friendly. Metro is just steps away, you don't even have to go outside, you can take the elevator down to the G floor and there is a underground walkway that takes you to the metro.

Excellent location close to the metro and Washington DC main attractions, comfortable bed, clean room, nice pool, very friendly staff. Parking is not included in the hotel price, you must pay $26/day

This hotel is well situated for my purposes, close to both the airport and the Metro stop. I like that the intimate scale, the fact that there aren't large numbers of people milling around. And I particularly appreciate the attentiveness of every staff person I encountered.

Facilities were good, convenient etc, but was surprised to find out that there was a charge for Wifi! And we actually gave up free accommodations and chose to stay here BECAUSE we wanted access to wifi! Free wifi is something that one can now normally assume will come with a room. Something potential clients should know! Also discovered after the fact that parking at the hotel was also not free. This is less surprising, but we were not told this in advance when we decided to park our car, so were unaware that it was costing extra until we received our bill at the end of our stay!

I booked for two nights and the hotel was very good. The staff was very helpful.

If I could rate the hotel an 11 out of 10 I would. From the second my family of 5 pulled up in our minivan we were treated like royalty. With three little ones (6)(2)(1), a 10 hour road trip left my wife and I tired and overwhelmed as could be expected, but the level of service given at this hotel is almost beyond belief. Everyone on the staff took time to stop and talk to us and actually have a real conversation. Also the location was amazing , within walking distance was at least 10 different restaurants and the metro(subway) is actually in the basement which made our ride to DC seamless! I would highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel was very nice. We love how close it is to the Metro and that it is within walking distance to many restaurants. The staff was very nice and attentive. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel, staff was friendly. Room was big but bathroom is small. No news paper for guests and they charge for wi-fi where most hotels it's free but I guess they need to get money. Good shuttle service to airport.

Clean. VERY Easy access to the metro.. Fairly quiet. We were on 9th floor facing street. You could hear all of the emergency vehicles pass by, which were enough for me to remember but not enough to disrupt my sleep. Also has free shuttle to airport, which was nice for an early flight since we didn't feel like walking a couple of football fields with our bags to the terminal. Would most definitely stay again

The front desk staff were extremely welcoming and helpful finding places to eat. I was upgraded to a suite and it was very comfortable. My only complaint would be that they had direct TV and we were there during a storm and lost signal during the ballgame.

Everything that I needed to make this a successful business trip was met in my stay at this hotel---the hotel is connected via tunnels to the Metro, close to the airport, the restaurant food was great and service was excellent, and the room was clean, comfortable and equipped with all the amenities that I would want. I am booking my room for my next visit to Washington and bringing my staff.

Marriott always delivers which is why I always stay in their hotels. They are always perfectly nice rooms, not toooo expensive and usually have food things etc built right into the hotel. This one was like that - but would have liked more on the go type places to go east at rather than a coffee place and a restaurant.

I had a good time. close to the museums and easy access to the subways.

Convenient location, close to station in Arlington, easy access to DC by train

The hotel its really good located, very convenient. It was clean, rooms were good maniaten and staff was always ready to help.

Besides tiny bathrooms where shower curtain is in your lap while sitting on the toilet, the availability of food and drink is very limited. No drink machines. Only the hotel restaurant and bar are convenient, which are not always attended. Breakfast service and food are excellent - enjoyed this twice during my 3 night stay. Two separate attempts to have dinner at night, I could not find anyone to seat us. Gave up and went to Crystal City shops underground. The walk is long and fairly isolated until you reach the shopping areas. Those were another disappointment, as many of them close at 6. Most were no-name delis and cafes with cold food sitting out, or fast food, or donut/pastry shops. Or high end steak houses $$$. Even more of them were closed Saturday night. Very difficult to find food and drink (even bottled water) without leaving hotel. Food/drink/ice were also very scarce at the conference we were attending at the same hotel. Not enough bathrooms, not enough elevators. Concierge and front desk services were excellent. Maid staff excellent and friendly. Rooms are very clean and nicely furnished.

Comfortable stay and it was available for a good deal. This location needs to provide complimentary wifi. With the way technology is advancing, I couldn't believe that this hotel still has only wired internet in rooms. Parking should be cheaper and complimentary breakfast should be made available.

The hotel was just across the street from the metro which is a plus. Although we didn't get a chance to use the pool or gym they were well equipped and clean. The restaurant was a little pricey for my liking but it comes with the area. Most importantly the bar had a very good beer selection.
