Nice location, mixed feelings
We liked the location and building amenities of this apartment. There are lots of great restaurants 1 street over, multiple grocery stores within 2 blocks, and the metro is a 15-20 minute walk away. Everyone in the building was very friendly. There were two things that bothered us: (1) After booking through VRBO we were repeatedly contacted by Luxury Global Suites to provide front and back copies of our IDs and credit cards. We thought it was a scam. After three interactions we were eventually allowed to provide our ID at check-in and this worked fine for us. (2) Our apartment only came with ONE key fob (confirmed by front desk). This really constrained our planning and flexibility, since we were visiting as a family and you cannot get in the building, use elevators, or enter the apartment without one. Minor concerns: the pictures did not represent the layout or window view of our apartment (we looked right into an adjacent building). It is listed that actual layouts and furniture can vary- don't base your decisions on the pictures! The upkeep and cleanliness were also not to our standards. For example, there was a broken lamp in the guest bedroom that could only be used if you plugged and unplugged it from the wall. Coffee maker, knives, and sofa bed sheets were not clean. We provided several of these concerns over web form when the company reached out to check in and we did not hear back. They did respond to questions about parking when we called. Mixed feelings!
