Experienced the best customer service in travelling, Motel is not the most modern or sharp in presentation, however you will be hard pressed to find better care / service in any 5 star hotel. I would have loved to have seen Foxtel as an option, just personal preference. I would only consider staying at this motel in future Wangaratta visits as the service alone has me as a loyal fan. Dont expect all the luxuries but you can count on the service based on my experience.
Recently stayed two nights. Excellent sized room, comfortable bed and had everything needed. Good location right near main shopping strip and has easy off street parking. Reasonable price for an 80's style motel. Had a toaster and kettle in the room, but no crockery or cutlery.
I am not sure how many times we have stayed at this motel. We have family in Melbourne. The day's travel to Wangaratta is enough for us to get to the lovely regional city of Wangaratta in enough time for dinner and then continue the next day. I have no idea how many times we have stayed at Warby Lodge, but it is quite a few. We have a room next to the office. Habits apply to many things, including accommodation. So we go there. It is on the main road, at the end of the shopping centre and you can continue straight on to Melbourne. The facilities a spotless and I do like having that little packet of biscuits that not many places provide. We also enjoyed going to the restaurant next door, which was closed in October 2016 for new owners and renovations. We shall enjoy going there next time. If you want a stroll, there are two magnificent cathedrals in the vicinity, the Catholic and Anglican Cathedrals are very close to the motel. And for the mundane reality of life a huge Big W one street away....which I always pop into before hitting the road!
We stayed overnight, as we needed to be up bright and early to do the Ned Kelly CHase run, the man who checked us in, was so interesting and friendly, and we had a great chat. So close to Apex Park, so glad we stayed here. Thank you.
Pretty basic, although some rooms have recently been upgraded. Bed was comfortable but not great. Wifi was a bit unreliable. The positives: it's close to the main street for restaurants, and the river walk and reasonably priced.
We stayed one night in October and i liked the set out of the room. The Bed was comfy. We had a room with a big spa in it. Price was reasonable. There was a pool but it was too cold to swim. Central to shops. Well lit.
Stayed here for a couple of nights for business, the rooms are comfy and clean, the rooms we had were further back in the complex so away from the main road and quiet enough. Could do with a modernisation as its a bit dated but met our needs, many of the TV channels did not have great reception.
Really comfortable beds - had great sleeps. Large room with microwave, toaster and kettle. Pleasant staff who didn't have any issues helping me out when I locked myself out of my room. Only thing that would be helpful would be some plates/bowls and cutlery, there were only coffee cups in the room. Overall very pleasant and comfortable stay.
When stepping into the rooms you feel you are heading back to the 1980's. For a regional motel the rate of $128 for a Saturday Night was reasonable but the rooms could do with a full upgrade to enhance the guest experience. Overall the cleanliness of the motel itself was very good. Maybe a little more friendlier a greeting would help and being our first time in town maybe recommending some places to dine at rather than us having to go through the tourist brochures would have been nice.
