Set on the most beautiful tree lined flower street. A very comfortable room with a stunning view of the snow capped mountain. a 5 minute drive to the centre of Wanaka or a 15 minute walk by the most beautiful lake. the service was excellent especially the lovely young man manning the breakfast station. Would definitely stay here again.
We spent three nights here while visiting Wanaka and loved the property. We had a one bedroom unit which was spacious and very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We used the pool and spa and also caught up on our laundry here (there is a fee). The location is nice, just a little way out of the city center but is very quiet. We cooked in one night using the barbecue and it was great. I definitely recommend this hotel.
This is the second time I have stayed here and throughly enjoyed it both times. The rooms are well set out and have a nice mix of indoor and outdoor areas. The hot pool and pool area is excellent and adults can soak away the stresses of a busy week.
Stayed here for two nights and loved it. Studio room we had was lage with a nice outlook. Has a nice heated pool even for the cooler months of the year. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Have recommended to friends and family already as Wanaka is a very beautiful place
We enjoyed our stay at the Ramada Resort in Wanaka, this is our third stay here. The room was very comfy and well equipped, happy hour is a bonus and it was nice to meet other people staying at the resort. We will be back again.
I wasn't expecting a huge amount from a Resort hotel but was really pleasantly surprised by how nice the Ramada was! The room was bright clean and modern and although it could have done with being a little bigger (just because we had so much luggage!) it was a really nice place to spend a couple of days. On site laundry was really handy, staff were friendly and helpful and we hired bikes from the hotel so that we could explore the area and this was massively cheaper than using one of the companies in town! Had to join the Rewards programme to get free wi-fi but doesn't cost anything so worth doing! Breakfast wasn't included in the room and I wouldn't personally bother eating here as there are some amazing places in town to get breakfast!
We stayed here and what an awesome place. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment the room was really big and we were able to cook dinner in the room every night which was great. The staff we so friendly and the outdoor heated hot tub was also a hit with the kids. They were able to hire bikes and go for a ride and every thing was nice a close to visit.
Wanaka is a great centre for families, especially for taking the family skiing. I noticed a few grumpies on Tripadvisor complaining about the noise from the pool and spa but we actually loved hearing the happy kids frolicking about and having fun. There is even a good sized splash down water slide.I will definitely be bringing my grandkids next time. if you might be disturbed by this noise, avoid the rooms around the pool and spa area. Our standard room had pleasant decor, big comfy bed, and basic self catering amenities. Our stay was very pleasant. Written instructions and heavy sales pitch were a bit overwhelming and took away that "home away from home" feeling. Do they actually have any benefits for the average tourist? Who are these people who do all these naughty things or are there lots of grumpies who complain about everything. Pool hours are standard everywhere and I have not experienced people who do not respect this normal practice. But I worry where this is going. Next it will be "people and especially children must stop laughing and enjoying themselves or penalties will apply." An obsession about notices all over the place was found at every single accommodation place we stayed at in South Island. Reminded us of 60s British boarding houses. No worries, we avoided staff and removed all the threats from the apartment and just got on with what proved to be a wonderful stay.
We took our granddaughter to another ski holiday Stay in this hotel in a two-bedrooms fully-furnished apartment for a week, the staffs at reception are very friendly, there have two bedrooms, lounge, kitchen and one bathroom are very clean, yhere have a ski dry room for all the customer to use. the Wanaka airport is only for day sight-seeing flight so we have fly to Queenstown first, the resort is about one hour drive from Queenstown, there have bus from Queenstown to the door of this Hotel, there have four ski fields Cardrona, Snow Farm, Snow Park and Treble Cone, they all about 45 minute drive from this hotel, the Cardrona and Treble Cone are most popular, the Cardrona is best for the family, the Treble have the most step and long tracks there have one daily return bus through this hotel to Cardrona or Treble Cone. there have café and bar but don’t have restaurant in this hotel, it is an easy 20 minute walk to the town centre, it only 5 minute wake to the beautiful Lake Wanaka, 20 minute walk to a vineyard. This hotel is very busy at the snow season and have to book a long time in front. The downfall were there were no left in this hotel and because in the ski season most customer are young people so the spa area is very noise you had better to choice a room away from spa.
We were just passing through and only stayed one night but could have stayed longer. Room was large, comfortable and clean. No noise and warm as well. Being winter the pool was closed but plenty of people were enjoying the outdoor hot pool. A good walk into town but plenty to see with some nice views up the lake.
