Love the snorkel lagoon here, all the food is great too! The valet parking or walking half a mile to your car after walking half a mile to reception isn't that enjoyable. It takes forever to get valet sometimes, even when they aren't busy. Maybe tip huge every time otherwise they won't want to pickup your car. This hotel requires a lot of walking, wouldn't recommend for a large family or older people. The grounds are beautiful and the food is good, its really a nice place to stay. Just prepare to walk and wait.

Room choice utterly ignored and there were charges on the bill we had to request be taken off (2 separate bills at a hotel bar we had not even stepped foot in. However, the setting, museum pieces, overall ambience by the sea etc. was stunning and the staff were kind in general and easy to talk to.

Excellent relaxation place in Big Island. Love to visit one more time.

The pools and views are great. The restaurant food and service is horrendous. It is also outrageously priced which would be fine if it was high quality.

I like pretty everything , this place is unique it self because it have everything in one, but it need to have more night life and more high end restaurants

We like this hotel has train, boat , nice restaurant and close to beach.

Gorgeous view of dolphin lagoon from our room, staff was very responsive to requsts!

The hotel is beautiful. With a dolphin pool and sea turtles in the lagoon. Stunning views. Only negatives: Rooms have no microwaves and all onsite restaurants are very expensive. Nearby shops and restaurants are within a mile of the hotel.

Nice hotel with plenty to do. The grounds are beautiful. Great views and wildlife to watch. The lagoon is great and pools have something for everyone. The huge size of the hotel is a bit of a drag because you either wait for a tram or just walk like my family and I did. The walk is actually really pleasant though because you either see beautiful art pieces along the museum walk or beautiful ocean and lagoon views of you walk through the open areas. Great for families.

checkout has a long line But using express checkout get it done I have to call back to correct some bill errors

I was charged for this room up front. Upon check in they said it would be $27 a day for self-parking. Ok. I was charged $70something dollars days later. I’ve reached out to Hilton and they say they cannot find my reservation that I’ve stayed there. I did not receive a receipt for my stay. I’m unsure how to resolve this issue as they say they cannot find our reservation. Seriously? Do I need to show my credit card statement? Extremely frustrating. In regards to the hotel facility itself—I mean it is a resort. Not our thing but we had to stay a night here. If you want a true Hawaiian experience, it’s not at a Hilton. Just saying...for those who don’t travel often, they might find this kind of place cool, but the 80’s and 90’s resorts are going under for a reason.

The resort is beautiful and very big with lots of pools and areas to lounge.

Beautiful hotel beach side and lovely views and sunset

Does not have a beach, on the water, pretty, but not a walkable or swim able beach.

Beauriful resort. But I believe it was too pricey. I didn't like that we felt isolated and far from any outings. If you just want to hang out at a resort, then maybe this place is ideal for that. However, that's not what I wanted. Also, the food definitely overpriced.
