We were pleased with the price & location. We were very disappointed with the bed. A comfortable bed is one of the most important things while staying away from home. The bed was worn out & sagged in the middle making it impossible to get a good night's rest. This was our only issue. I mentioned this when we checked out & was told new furniture was forth coming.
If you’re going to a Baylor game, then this is the place for you. The 5-minute walk to the game is the only thing preventing 1s across the board. The sink in the room didn’t drain, the fan smelled like it was burning the whole time, you need to wear sandals in the shower, and the coffee maker had mold inside. Final thought, if you’re in town for one night and need a place close to the stadium, book now. Just don’t expect much else.
We were going on a quick weekend trip to Waco and wanted an economical place to stay. It's unfortunate that $75-$85 dollars doesn't get you much. This would be fine for a night on the road for work but my wife wasn't terribly impressed with it. Overall it wasn't the end of the world but it's simply a white washed older motel. I would not recommend.
Definitely and older hotel and I could not get over the fact that it looks like no one had dusted the trim around the floor for years. Not the worst experience I have ever had but felt I paid way more than it was worth. Was highway noise. The breakfast was decent, Texas shaped waffle was a nice touch. Only two very old looking apples if you were looking for fruit though.
I had to pay extra for a non-smoking room, the internet did not work, the hot water ran out after about two minutes of showering and the air conditioner sounded like it was going to take off. The girl at the reception desk was not at all helpful.
It was close to the places we wanted to visit and right next to the expressway. The staff was nice and polite. They have a free breakfast with waffles but we didn't use it (I saw it though when I went to get hot water for tea and it looked well stocked with a variety of offerings).
the place was adequate but not up to my usual preference. Breakfast above average. Facilities somewhat worn.
Very nice hotel for a really good price. Clean room nice comfy bed plus a nice big screen tv. Check in and out was super fast. I didn't find it loud at all even being next to the highway. Great location too. Close to Dr pepper museum and mcclane stadium. The only complaint my boyfriend had was he felt the bathroom was too small haha. I didn't mind it but he's bigger than me ;-) I wasn't sure about this place based on the negative reviews but I didn't experience anything they experienced. So I would highly recommend this place.
We stayed here for 3 nights during Magnolias silobration. It was basic but clean. It was all we needed. I did not hear any noise other than interstate traffic. We had trouble with our room key working two times but the staff was quick to fix it. Also, the room was very muggy/humid. Overall, I would stay here again if I were looking for a place to sleep at night. That is the only time we spent in the room.
We've stayed here several times. Easy on and off of Interstate 35. Very close to Baylor University and neighboring eating establishments. It's an older facility but has been renovated. Good beds, flat screen TVs, microwaves, & refrigerators. Very courteous staff.
Came to Waco for work, Hotel was fine. Served its purpose and was comfortable and clean. Staff was nice.
Close to highway, so a little noisy. Breakfast was sufficient and facilities were clean.
Several issues with our room at this whitewashed hotel: 1) rat hole in wall had plastic bag stuffed in it 2) Clock radio was unplugged upon check in 3) Bathtub drain didn't work well, water pooled around ankles 4) Room reeked of cigarette smoke 5) Bath faucet handle loose and almost non functional. Other than the above, everything was fine! <cough>
My stay at the redroof inn was great and I will stay again
Nothing fancy, but the location is great if you're in town for something at the convention center. You could even walk if the weather is nice and you're not carrying much. Right off I-35 for easy access. The hotel and room itself is nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. Staff were friendly. Not much to speak of in the way of amenities at this location, but we were just looking for a place to shower and sleep. The rooms pretty much all face the highway, but the white noise from the AC drowned out any noise, and we had no problem sleeping. Next time I'm looking to stay in Waco, this place will be on my list to check rates. If they're still one of the less expensive places, I'd book here again.
We didnt get the same room we had booked, office staff was beyond rude, and the room was gross and dirty. Dont go here
Very satisfied with stay, room was comfortable and staff was terrific.
Great location if you plan on going to the Water-park or Zoo and visiting the downtown area. Hotel was okay - rooms were a little small, bed was to soft for my taste but overall not bad. Nice economy hotel and it works great for a cheap mini-vacation. :)
No problems just needed it for 1 night so not much to tell
We made our reservation late afternoon, we were able to get a very good rate. We really liked our room, it was very clean & comfortable. The staff was also very helpful. We would diffenately recommend it & would stay there again if we were ever in Waco.
