If roads are closed, enjoy all that Gold Creek Cabin has to offer, such as the home theater with 150+ DVDs, HDTV, dartboard, and pool table.
In the summer, plan to quickly get away from the hustle and bustle of the Bay Area with an easy, 2-hour drive into the heart of the California Gold Country. Plan to go fishing, boating, biking, hiking, kayaking, and really enjoy the outdoors. Grill on the large wrap-around deck and relax in the Adirondack chairs, enjoying a cold beverage.

Couldn't ask for a better experience
First time booking through Vrbo and everything worked out very smoothly. The property was exactly how it looked in the photos. Property owner was very responsive and sent out all necessary information needed before being asked for it. Property itself was very well maintained and clean. Highly recommend to anyone that wants to get away from the city life and seeking piece and quiet, this is the place for you!

A great family vacation
The property was a perfect fit for our family. We enjoyed all the amenities from the wifi to the pool table. Appreciated the three floors which allowed my mother in law to be on the same level as the kitchen, living room, main entry and largest balcony, while others could be upstairs near the games and the rest downstairs with the pool table. There was truly something for everyone and the house was well stocked. The location was perfect for us. At the end of a gravel road, it was in a neighborhood but felt secluded. We took many day trips and hikes but likely would have had a great time if we just stayed at the house and explored all the things to do there. Finally, the owners were incredibly helpful and responsive. Highly recommend.

Best trip ever!
As adults, my sister and I have never gone on vacation together. This was our first trip and we brought our parents who've never been to a vrbo! We had the best experience, worked perfect for my parents with mobility issues and it was so well stocked! Thank you for the memory with my parents.

Wonderful Getaway at Gold Creek Cabin!
We have rented tons of houses over the years, and Gold Creek Cabin rated in our Top 3 of all time. The house is beautiful, clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. We had plenty of space to spread out and had so much fun downstairs playing pool and games and watching movies, as well as enjoying the fire pit on the deck. Cynthia, the owner, was wonderful to work with too. Would definitely stay again!

Great Family Getaway
We had a lovely stay at the cabin. You can tell there is so much pride and joy invested in making the home a great place to getaway from it all. We were pleasantly surprised by the location as well. We enjoyed the summer activities but can imagine it’s just a s great in the winter. We especially loved spotting the deer that would meander by the deck each morning and evening. A true treat to feel away from it all!

Perfect family get away.
Beautiful cabin with everything our family needed, from pack n play for the 8 month old to the pool table and games for adults. Plenty of room for our family of 10 to gather yet space for privacy, as well. The owner, Cynthia was very helpful and responsive to questions. We will be back!

Family Get Away
We had a relaxing get away at this amazing cabin in the woods. The cabin sits at the end of a windy gravel road without another house in sight. The cabin had some fabulous touches! Such as heated bathroom floors, a steam shower, a HUGE movie collection, fancy soap and beautiful rustic chic decor. We loved hanging out on the deck and cooking each night. We will definitely keep this house on our list! Thank you Cynthia for the clear instructions and quick communication!!

Wonderful getaway!
Beautiful home on enormous lot, perfect for our family’s covid summer getaway. We enjoyed day trips up to the mountains, near Kirkwood. And, had such a relaxing time when we were back at the “cabin.” (Quotes because this is no rough mountain house!) The only downsides for us was iffy safety precautions of people in the town. (The lack of mask enforcement in the area grocery store was a jolt to us, being from a community that’s vigilant about preventing covid spread.) We recommend the house highly but recommend provisioning yourself ahead of time. Also know that the best safe activities require some driving to get further up into the wilderness.

Great Stay!
We had a great time at Gold Creek Cabin. We were a group of 9 ranging in age from 11 to 80, and the cabin was a pleasure to gather in - many different zones for sitting by the fire, watching movies, playing pool or just enjoying the lovely snowy scenery. The cabin is totally turn key with no set up needed upon arrival, lots of amenities and plenty of space. Very pet friendly with a dog bed and bowl and lots of scenic walks to take. The kids didn’t want to go home!
Thanks Cynthia and Don!

Beautiful cabin
Beautiful well stocked cabin. There are beds for 9, if there are more people then that be prepared for couchs and/or air mattresses (which are there). Plenty of towels, sheets, and all appliances work great. Response time from owners was a matter of minutes and very helpful and accommodating due to almost being snowed in. Would rent again.

My kind of roughing it!
Amazing location, couldn't ask for better accommodations for my group of eight. We enjoyed sitting on the porch each morning admiring the peaceful views, sipping cappuccino. Trips to local fishing holes - optional, however, this home is a place to feel right at home. The kitchen is well-stocked, there was nothing we lacked in order to prepare meals. Comfortable beds in all rooms and the kids will undoubtedly argue over who gets the top bunk! Looking forward to a winter visit. Thanks Cynthia and Don for sharing your amazing property.

Relaxing Weekend Getaway in Beautiful Gold Creek!
Cynthia and Don are absolutely wonderful hosts, they make you feel right at home and are extremely responsive! The cabin is amazing, perfect for the family (especially if you have kids), with lots to do and see in the area. Kirkwood is just a 45 min drive away, an easy day trip that puts you back at the cabin in time to cozy up to the fire with a warm drink in hand. We'll definitely be coming back to visit soon!!
Thanks again for everything!
