The cabin was so cute inside! It was updated and so clean! Staff was great with communicating with us via text for checking in.

First of all, we drove to the hotel. The sign on the door said we needed to drive to another hotel (a mile away) to get the keys and sign in. Then, when we did that, we were assigned a cabin, even tho I had requested a room in the old hotel. For a long time, I had wanted to stay in the old historic hotel. But we needed a room, so we accepted the cabin. I was very disappointed and our stay was definitely not worth $160.00.

This was truly an adventure, to stay in a place where cowboys stayed, walked and carried on was truly amazing. This is not for a luxury stay it was about seeing history. And no I didn’t see or hear any ghosts but it’s said they have been seen and heard. Lol

Nice size cabins. Staff went above and beyond helping us.

The history of the hotel is interesting, as is the history of the area. Don't miss the museum next to the hotel! Some rooms have air conditioning, some have fans, some have neither. No showers on the first floor. Virtually the entire towns of Virginia City and Nevada City are inaccessible. Understandable, considering the age of the buildings, but it's good to be fore warned.

If you are looking for an old time experience, this is for you. I did not expect to be in a modern hotel, but there was not even a plug for the tub, had to invent one. They did not have cups in the room, we had to ask and the clerk was able to get us a couple from the coffee bar. We went for the history, and theater, would not stay here again.

We appreciate your review and comment. We apologize for the hotel in Nevada City not being open. The Pandemic has impacted us greatly in many ways. Thank You for staying with us in one of our original late 1800 cabins. We hope you will come back again when the hotel is open.
