Dealing with Expedia on this reservation was so eventful I am never going to use Expedia again.... There was a problem and they did not care they blamed it on the motel even though I booked through Expedia

Halls and stairs has trash on them that had not been vacuumed in days. Breakfast was cold. Room next door had kids screaming and adults talking loudly all night long.

There was a roach on the wall in the hall. We didn't see any in the room, but the one in hall grossed me out. The room looked nice and clean. The hotel seems to be updated.

My stay at Microtel

The lady at the front desk was pleasant enough but, what got me was I told her I had a service animal and she stated that I had to pay a $15. fee. I told her No I do not. Service animals are free. Then she looked on her computer and asked for my papers. Which I had. She made a copy and gave me my key. She asked me If I was the only one staying. I told her yes, just me. I had a friend with me who was going to help me get my things into the room. She said Well, there would be an extra charge if there were another person. I told her No just me. Like she didn't believe me. And, I felt like She was just trying to get $15 more out of me. Because I don't believe she did not know about the service animal policy. Then, I get into the room and it is nothing like the room in the photo on the website that I paid for. Also, the door frame and bathroom door frame looked really nasty. It needs a good paint job. The T.V. is small. The microwave was atrocious. Overall, I was not happy with my room but, I was too tired to get a refund and go some place else.

The lobby was dirty and needed a good vacuum. The stairwell was dirty. The remote control for the room didn't work and there was food or some substance on the remote. It was noisy during the night.

There was bird chirping noise inside the check in area. We could hear it in our room when we tried ti sleep. We requested it be turned down/off and the staff complied.

Stayed for a week but the room was not cleaned during our stay. Looks clean and modern from the outside but the lobbies and rooms are dated. Not used to not being able to open a window. Otherwise it was adequate.
