Our first visit to Lithuania, but not our last. We are exploring family history so wanted to understand something of Vilnius. We chose Kempinski with no prior knowledge of this hotel chain or the city. Our return visit will certainly be to the same hotel. It is not cheap, but in our opinion it's worth every penny. My husband says it is the best hotel he has stayed in. And we have stayed in several Hiltons around the world, and at the Ritz. Wonderful welcome, attention to detail, comfortable room, beds, well-laid out bathroom, good spa. Small pool, but good enough. We had two small disturbances, both of which were dealt with with concern and consideration. Food at breakfast and evening meal were utterly fantastic. Had we not eaten elsewhere for several other meals we might have thought the service a little slow, but we have learned that there is just no rush to get food on the table in Vilnius, which allows for a much more leisurely eating experience that we are used to in the UK. Particular thanks must go to the adorable woman who checked us in, whose Lithuanian name I am struggling to spell, but also to Tadas and Sergei. As fervent Europeans as we all are in our family, we are grief-stricken at the UK's 'choice' to leave Europe next year. One tiny negative - I had asked previously for a quiet room, but the airconditioning in our 2nd floor room was extremely loud. I shall certainly ask for a higher room next time, as I understand that the aircon is quieter higher up!
The room was very nice with the only criticism being the bed was two single beds joined together. However, bearing in mine I booked the cheapest category of room as this was a short overnight stay it was perfectly acceptable. The spa was great, never overly busy and had a particularly good steam room. To top it all of the breakfast was among the best I've had in a hotel after decades of travel. Combined with exceptionally friendly and efficient front desk staff this is now my go to hotel of choice in Vilnius. Next time I'll book one of the superior rooms which will make for a perfect stay. Thanks again!
We spent three nights at this lovely hotel which at the same time feels lavish and homely. From the sparkling wine welcome drink till check-out service was super friendly both at the reception and especially at the restaurant. The breakfast was really excellent and nicely displayed. The bed was so comfortable that I just wanted to linger on between the soft duvet and pillows in the morning. In the Spa the Turkish sauna is lovely. The location is also perfect as the beautiful old town surrounds the hotel.
This was the first time I had stayed in a Kempinski hotel; I would certainly return. From the start, the service was exceptional, friendly and efficient. We had a lovely room overlooking the cathedral and the Christmas tree. It really is a central location, the Christmas markets are across the street. The breakfast was amazing, lots of different types of caviar which was a novelty for us. Breakfast made to order. Easy walking distance to shops (Rimi is close by) and some wonderful little bars 5 minutes away from the cathedral square. Vilnius is a beautiful town that wasn't over run with your groups. Would love to return in summer and would most certainly stay at this exceptional hotel.
We just visited this hotel for a few nights and all I can say it was absolutely perfect. Comparing to lets say Hilton's rooms are a little small but the hotel itself is absolutely amazing. Some rooms have no view whatsoever. Rooms are fitted with everything you need and you'll have all the toiletries topped up every morning. Nice small details like little chocolates by the bed also being topped up. Bar and spa a little pricey although it is expected for this kind if hotel. Breakfast is served in a nice ground floor restaurant and if you 're lucky to get a window seat youll get a nice view. Food absolutely deliciuos, you can choose from a breakfast menu or from a little buffet bar. Selection of caviar is jaw dropping! Staff is absolutely amazing! First night we slept on a twin bed pushed together so my boyfriend kept dropping into the gap, I didn't know you can ask for beds to be joined. We were out in town the second evening so we called a hotel around midnight asking if they can join our beds together and they said they'll do it right away. We headed back to the hotel in about half an hour and to our surprise the supervisor and a maid were making our bed, chandimf all the sheets ( despite sheets being changed already earlier that day) they also topped up all toiletries, cleaned that bathroom, changed towels and tidied up our mess !! That s like midnight! I was well impressed:) The whole hotel and grounds is immaculately clean and looked after. Spa is very clean and well maintained. Treatments are a bit expensive but definitely worth it! Will definitely be back soon ! Thank you to all the team in Kempinski for looking after us.
Since our silver wedding we have with another couple, every year visited a different capital city in Europe. Vilnius is about number 20, and right up at the top with Budapest and Istanbul. We've stayed in a few Keminski's and this was by far the best : how it is only number 2 hotel in Vilnius amazes me. The central location, the food, including dinner, the staff, the accommodation, the spa etc, all were first class, and very much recommended. We visited in September. I have been delaying my reviews because of Tripadvisor's inability, despite what they say about feedback, to amend s photo and review of a building in my lovely and historic home city which is simply of the wrong buiding. It goes make one wonder who checks the reviews, but this one at least I promise to be accurate.
Stayed at this hotel as part of a road trip through the Baltic. Arrived at the hotel with a professional valet parking that will take your bags and your cars. Whizzed away into the reception very quickly and was greeted by the Lady in Red and Tadas. The service from the front desk to the hotel are immaculate. I expect quite high from the Kempinski and it delivers. Thank you Tadas and you team. We stayed in a very nice suite room as part of the GHA Black Benefit and this was practically the best room in the hotel. It was on the 4th floor with amazing views of Cathedral Square and the cobblestone streets from outside the window. Beautiful. The room was big and furnished will with luxury fitted sheets and the bathtub was welcoming for a soak. The good thing about this hotel and the brand is the attention to details. The type of sheets, quality of towels and robes, toiletries and coffee all meant and standards of a elite class hotel. Did i mention that breakfast is included and bubbles as well? Lastly, Sauna and Spa. A must for the winter and summer. Its a perfect place to retreat after long day of walking. Thank You Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square. I hope to come back again.
I stayed at the hotel for two nights and really enjoyed my time there. The rooms are clean, elegant and beautifully decorated. They also have a comfort menu to customize the pillows on the bed for your particular preference. The beds are really comfortable as well. The room service menu is quite small but the items on it are delicious. There is free WiFi throughout the hotel, which is quite strong. The breakfast at the hotel is pretty incredible. They have everything you could want at the buffet, as well as a full menu of items. The buffet even has caviar and champagne! I was impressed with this hotel and the really nice staff. I would recommend it and would stay here again myself.
Amazing hotel with elegant and comfortable rooms. Lobby very nicely decorated for Christmas season. Top restaurant with great signature dish. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially at the front desk during check-in and check-out.
Very nice experience even though the stay was short. Will definitely return one day for more. Beautiful hotel te stay, Yes it's a chain, no it doesn't feel that way. I felt spoiled, beautiful room with a beautiful view, Christmas tree in front of the Cathedral and all!. I will be back!
