I give a summary: + clean bed, floor and bathroom + friendly staff + quit at night (square at the back) + good bed and pillows + coffee and tea in the room + check-in and -out quick and correct - small room, small bathroom, small everything - old furniture, old etc - things definitily need paint and a fix. - 85 euro (with garage, no breakfast), too expensive. +/- garage safe , but almost no space for middle Class car
Stop on route to alps. Rude staff, terrible breakfast (not included)- no hot options- parking extra. The rooms are the smallest you will ever. And top things off next to a mousetrap bar. £160 wasted!!
Excellent central location with available parking at a small charge. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean and functional. However the hotel had all the charm of an east European hotel circa 1970. Rooms are tiny and cramped and only really suitable for an overnight stay. Having never stayed at another hotel in Villefranche I’ve no idea if our room rate of €70 was good value. Compared to other hotels I’ve stayed in other towns I’d say not.
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in June as part of a business trip, checked in at approx 1 AM, this was very quick and efficient, breakfast ok. The staff was very polite, thoughtful and considerate regarding our particular needs.
This hotel has serious cleaning issues. Bathroom was dirty and dusty. Mold in the shower and hair all over. The rooms are small but oke. Bed is good. Dust on the tv and corners. Corridors have old carpet. Not vacuumed properly. Breakfast has a large selection, but dishes and glass wear have stains and the tables are not cleaned after guests have left. They only take away the dishes, leaving the tables dirty. Not worth the 80 euro + breakfast costs.. Staff is friendly.
Although the room was small but clean what let's it down is attention to detail especially when your hot and tired. Firstly the aircon didn't work and the receptionist came to try and fix it, secondly the bedside light didn't work and changed bulbs with another one and still didn't work and then found out that the bed needed to be pulled out to plug it in, then the bottle of water provided in the room was already open as in seal broken so pRtner had to go to ask for new one in her nightie to take her medication
Extremly small room to the point, when u open the door it hits the bed... Bathroom even smaller, u can barely move around without touching everything around. Shower size ok. Little cupboard. Bed size ok. Very old design and furnishing. Ugly carpet. Tiny little window. Not pretty at all. Slow WIFI. On arrival room covered in dust. Regret not paying another 20euro per night to get something decent. Big plus is the location, right in the heart of city with shops, restaurants, parks 1 min away. Staff is ok.
The kyriad in villefranche was a first for our family. It is located at the heart of charming villefranche sur saone , closed to Lyon. It offers small yet clean and confortable rooms.second room is at 50 pourcent off to accomodate families. Staff is helpfull. Not to miss in the area.... Oingt'wineries , the restaurant by the shore of the Saone is a must.. Love the experience.
stopped off on way back from holiday. 4 hours drive from provence and we broke our journey up. Villefranche sur Saone is a nice place to stop off at. Close to A6 and easy to find and navigate around and hotel centrally located (there is a 1 way system in operation so we drove about abit but hotel is well signed). Tiny tiny car park and they had no space to park and was fairly tricky to find parking close to hotel which was worrying as car full of luggage. Rooms very small, but comfortable. Decoration was bit tired but aircon worked well and it was very hot outside. Would't go for more than 1 night - fine for stopover hotel. Short walk to choice of restaurants and covered market was 2 mins away in morning. Didn't have breakfast and just walked 2 mins away and bought coffee and croissant.
This is a 2 star hotel, you do not expect much from it. We had some issues when parking the car: parking is underground and quite narrow places, it took a while to park a Renault Espace. It is really in the centre of the town with a lot of one way roads to get there, make sure you have a good GPS navigator. Rooms are really small, just ok if travelling on your own. Breakfast buffet was OK. Staff quite friendly althougn not much confident with English.
