The structure is really nice but the service is not that good. The ac broke the first day and the day after I had to change room even if i was staying just for 2 nights. There is a fix menu for dinner and even if I did not want the whole menu and asked for some simple scambled eggs I could not have them.
As a boutique hotel I was so impressed by the way every staff member was so nice and helpful. I felt safe and knew whatever I needed would be taken care of without trouble. They arranged transportation for me, gave me guidance for where to travel, and were just so pleasant to be around that made my stay all the better. The rooms are well maintained, great ac, and tv. The pool is a bit small and the public beach outside is not as great as one would like since locals can be on the beach as well, however this is not in the hotels control. And yet, the hotel security does monitor the perimeter and keeps an eye out for when guests do go on to the public beach without you asking (I noticed this every time), which just made me more pleased with the genuine care the staff at this hotel has - I would recommend this hotel to anyone and thank the hotel staff for such incredible service during my stay.
We were a group of medical students that stayed for 6 weeks on St Vincent, and while I can only review from the point of view of day visits, not stays, I can confidently say that out of all the restaurants/hotels/bars we visited on St Vincent island, Sunset Shores is the only place that actually cares about the happiness of its customers. The bar staff were fantastic, service was never slow (a rarity in St Vincent), and the food was genuinely nice at reasonable prices. Whilst the layout of the outside courtyard may appear slightly basic, within the context of what one should expect in St Vincent this is really a small price to pay for the overall utopia that I’m sure a lot of tourists seek yet do not find when they come here - to relax on sunloungers with immediate access to the beach, but teamed with kind, attentive service and delicious food. Young Island (easy to assume as the top establishment on St Vincent) has much to learn from this hotel. I just wish we discovered this place earlier!
Lovely hotel but don’t leave the hotel because the people are ignorant, rude & stupid. Go to another island the place is a dump. They don’t know how to drive, so you are taking your life in your own hands. The people don’t want you there but wonder why no one ever goes there, although they want your money. It’s a lovely island, it’s just the people in it
We vacationed here the first week of May and felt like VIP from the moment we checked in. The entire hotel staff go out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Within a couple of hours of checking in, we managed to blow a fuse in our room as there was only one plug that we could use. The front desk got the maintenance man (do not remember his name) right away and he came back to our room and fixed it right away. He also supplied us with an adapter and multiple outlet strip so we could recharge our electronic equipment. The hotel grounds and beach were beautiful and well kept and the pool always looked clean and clear (we like to swim in the ocean so we did not use the pool). We were in room 17 which has two balconies that face the pool and ocean. I would highly recommend this room if you are planning to stay here. The room was clean and housekeeping did a great job cleaning and restocking our room daily. There is a small fridge that will hold drinks and food if desired. There are several grocery stores not too far from the hotel. The restaurant and bar at the hotel was very good. We ate a lot of meals here and every dish we ordered was very good. They have a different menu for each meal and the menu does not have a lot of choices like you are used to in the states, but we always found something we liked and the food was delicious. I loved the Chef Club sandwich and seasoned fries. A special thank you to Roxann, Patricia, Nikon, and Eldon for always taking good care of us and making yummy pina coladas. You all were soo wonderful and we really enjoyed talking to each one of you everyday. I miss you all! There are several restaurants within walking distance of this hotel and they were very good as well. The beach is beautiful and we enjoyed snorkeling everyday after we were done with our dives. There is mostly seagrass out front of the hotel but if you snorkel by the rocks you will see a lot of reef fish. This was our first time to St. Vincent but it definitely will not be our only visit and we will definitely stay at this hotel again. Thank you again for such an enjoyable vacation!
Had a wonderful time at this hotel, we stayed in one of the rooms facing the ocean with a balcony. The beach is great, clear as crystal. Breakfast was good and room was very updated inside. I Love the Beach at this hotel!
The hotel is perfectly situated on the beautiful Villa beach (never crowded and great for swimming) and the staff are very attentive; our car broke down one day and Elden + another female staff member stayed well past their shift to help us! Would highly recommend this place
This hotel was great, comfortable and has a good location. There are some issues that should be fixed so I'll break it down for you: Positives of this hotel: 1. Amazing location: close by to a lot of restaurants, Young Island Beach Resort and the Rock Fort 2. A picturesque beach: the beach here is stunning, the water is clear and clean and the black sand is very good for the body 3. Friendly staff: the staff here was friendly and most of them were always willing to help, especially housekeeping 4. Recently renovated: some of the rooms were recently redone and are very clean and modern. We stayed in room number 38 Negatives: 1. Toilet stopped working on Day 2: on Day 2, the toilet in our room stopped flushing but maintenance came quickly to solve it 2. Didn't have much flexible dining options: We were vegetarians and while the hotel menu had some options, they were not that fantastic and would use a bit of revamping. The food itself in the hotel was not that great either, and could use some improvement 3. The back of the hotel, close to the boardwalk is filled with nightlife and food places but it is not the safest place to walk in, late at night especially if you are just a couple or a sole person Overall, my stay at this hotel was good and I enjoyed it. The pros for me outweighed the cons and Sunset Shores offers a great place to enjoy the beauty of Saint Vincent
Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, nice and friendly staff and good location made my stay a pleasant stay . This is my second time at the hotel and it’s getting better . The most important remark is the staff! You are under the impression that you are among friends and family. Amazing service, well done.
