## Neighborhood
Our holiday home in Budens, a small village close to Lagos. It is very popular amongst golf lovers, families and nature lovers.
A selection of restaurants & bars are there for you to explore both local and international food. We recommend trying fresh fish and seafood dishes! There is a large supermarket 4 minutes away by car. The beach of Salema is a 4 minutes drive. Other beaches like Burgau and Praia da Luz, are just a short drive away. Whether you want to relax, go for a surf or enjoy an amazing hike in nature, Budens is the place to be. And if you do crave the city life at some point, the city of Lagos is only 20 minutes away.
## Transit
You can reach Budens in about one hour by car from Faro Airport and car rental is available in the parking lot of the airport. By train it will take about 4 to 5 hours.
The best way to travel the Algarvarian coast is by boat or car. If you really want to explore the area, a (rental) car will make your life a whole lot easier as public transport is limited but will also get you around. Parking is free and abundant everywhere in this area.

Property is beautiful but the agents managing the property let down the experience. Responses were speedy but i spent lots of time emailing them.during our stay. There are more than a 'few' steps to the property as described by the agent when this question was asked before our stay. From the car park, about 20, so older or less mobile guests may struggle. The pool 'keys' were not labelled. After contacting the agent, I discovered that they were fobs and had been left behind a photo frame on a table. None of the outside lights worked so we couldn't use the outside spaces in the evenings. 2 were fixed 5 days into our stay. The other needed more work so couldn't be fixed at the time. I raised a complaint with the management agency, but not being able to use an outdoor space in the evening or use the barbeque in the evenings is unacceptable. This is the first time I have felt the need to raise a concern on a review, but these are issues which take the gloss off a beautiful property, with the owner placing trust in an agency to property manage their property.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen, alles war ordentlich und den Bildern entsprechend. Die Lage ist perfekt und man erreicht alle Surfspots in kürzester Zeit. Die Umgebung selbst war sehr ruhig, die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und die Terrassen sind einfach ein Traum! Parken ist problemlos möglich und sehr nah an der Unterkunft. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall sehr gerne wieder! Danke für einen tollen und entspannten Urlaub an der Algarve. Tipp: Unbedingt bei Good Fellas vorbeischauen ;) Super lecker und super freundlich!
