Very well maintained. The staff works tirelessly on all property upkeep

Conveniently located resort, with a very short transfer from Male. The condition of the resort is pretty good, and is generally well maintained. The Villa we stayed in was a little tired. Good choice of restaurants, and quality of the food was good, and catered well for a young family. The staff in the hotel are generally very accommodating, although there was one individual (Saeed) who lacked in ettiquette to manage international guests, although he is the one exception; all other staff were great. Great choice of water sports. The BIG drawback for Kurumba is the severe lack of segregation between smokers and non-smokers. We could not really use our private beach area as there were 5 adults camped out in the villa next to ours, who seemingly enjoyed smoking from morning until night, which is very unpleasant for a family with two young children. Worse still, our five year old daughter got burnt on her leg by a guest holding a cigarette in the a al carte breakfast restaurant. Although the Management of the hotel politely listened to our concerns about this issue, I was left with the disitinct impression that nothing would be done, which is unfortunate. In summary, a good resort for those who want to smoke.

Great experience. Amazing location and super-friendly staff.

Kurumba is a magical paradise! A quick 10-minute boat ride (courtesy Kurumba) and you're in the best of hands. Easiest access to snorkeling (just right outside any room, a private beach and swim 40 yards to the reef), tennis, kayaking, all the equipment ready for you at no extra cost. As a foodie, I was a little disappointed at the range and quality of the food - but it's all good, though a little pricey for what you get. But, that should not be a distractor, this place is one of the most amazing places to which I have ever been.
