We stayed there over night because of flight cancellation. The staff is very helpful and the food was great. It is too far from Verona to visit without a car and not much in walking distance. But they lend bikes to ride around villafranca.
Beautiful clean hotel, too far from Verona city center, car is definitely needed. It is in a commercial and manufacturing area, not great for holidays. Breakfast room was great and food selection was excellent.
Stayed here again over last weekend. Again found all the staff very helpful, room was excelent, large, clean and fully appointed. Breakfast continues to be very good. Location is in the middle of an industrial area, but was perfectly located from where I spent the weekend. In all, better than last year - well done to all involved.
Stayed at Hotel Expo Verona for 6 nights as one of our sons attended a sport event at nearby hotel. Overall we had a great stay. Our room was clean and in great conditions. The staff were polite. We booked the hotel via Expedia and didn't find any trouble with our booking or description of the hotel. We knew from looking up the map that the hotel was about 20 minutes drive to Verona. The only 2 things that hold me from giving it a 5, one was that the hotel might provide free transportation to the airport but didn't provide free transportation to the town main train station (to catch a train to Verona) which is much closer to hotel than the airport. I found it very odd and felt that it should be provided. The hotel staff called taxi for us for the morning trip to the train station and we were told that when we returned we could call the hotel to arrange a taxi to pick us up at the train station. However, when we called the hotel in the evening to help us arrange the taxi, the night staff refused to call the taxi for us and stated that it was a policy he could not call the taxi for us because the pick up was not at hotel. It was difficult for us to call taxi company because we didn't speak Italian. At the end, we found a nice Italian couple who speak English and kindly helped up with the taxi calling. I think the hotel could have done more to help foreign guests who do not speak Italian. After all, this is a hospitality service, and calling a taxi for your hotel guests should not be a problem. Another let down was that the hotel had a Chinese tour group which seemed to arrive a few days after us. The hotel set up a different breakfast room for the tour group. I came down with my son for a breakfast and the front desk staff immediately told me to go to the tour group room which I found it loud, chaotic and not the same selection of breakfast. I asked the waitress about the bread and she seemed very frustrated with my questions (not sure if it was because she didn't understand English well or she thought I was one of the tour group). I sat there for 5 minutes and then walked out to tell the Front Desk staff that they must have make a mistake and I walked back to another breakfast room. Other than that morning, the breakfast each day was wonderful with selection of cold cuts, breads, pastries, yogurts, fruits and cereals, and of course great coffee. Beside those 2 issues, I would say our stay was great overall. The public spaces and rooms were clean and well-decorated. The exercise room was in great condition. Our floor was generally quiet and we all slept well. The staff were polite and helpful (except that one taxi incident). I would definitely stay at Hotel Expo Verona again if I am in the area.
We stayed here from Saturday to Thursday for vinitaly show. The hotel is way over priced for what they offer. The wardrobe is tiny. The breakfast selection is very poor. Each day we were up early to go to the fair which is about 30-40 minute drive depending on traffic. On our final day there was no fair and we were looking forward to a much deserved sleep in. At 8.30am we were woken by drilling noise which continued. Then at 9.30am house keeping entered our room without knocking. This is an absolute disgrace. As a result we checked out earlier than 12 since we did not have the relaxing morning we needed. They tried to over charge by €200 for pillows in the room. When we queried the final bill they deducted it. Wouldn't be rushing back to start here.
My wife and I needed a hotel close to the airport and just found out this one by searching the web. The ratio quality/price has been very good but the breakfast left us a bit unhappy. The room was ok either for its cleanliness and quietness.
The Hotel is very clean, very good and responding stuff. Very good breakfast. Free Parking and free WiFi Good location. Close to Verona Airport 15 minutes drive. The Hotel has Spa and Gym. The stuff was very helpful in driving directions weather forecast etc...
We liked this place especially because is close to the airport and the expo center and it's a quiet location. They have nice and clean rooms, the bed is very comfortable, friendly staff, and varied breakfast.
We stayed here during CosmoBike Show, hotel was full like the rest of the hotels in the city center. Expo Hotel is 13 km away from the city and does not offer shuttle services for guests..Only way to get to the city is taxi or the bus which passes once in an hour. As the hotel is far from the city we had the have dinner int he hotel. Small portions and over-rated prices... Our room was clean and quite.
Had to stay at this hotel after a flight cancellation. Appears nice at first glance, albeit sole less. However breakfast was terrible with warm yogurt on display, that caused diarrhoea. Breakfast bar opened late despite an advertised time of 7am. No hot food on display at 0715hrs. Staff arrived late. Tea and coffee machine took minutes to dispense drinks. Appeared to have one member of staff to run 2-3 bars Saturday night. Overpriced (£4 for less than 1/2 a pint). Gave up waiting to be served in the end. TV worked intermittently in room and kept freezing and bathroom dirty with mould on the jacuzzi bath jets and on tile corners. Complaints fell on deaf ears as manager wasn't interested in issues. Avoid at all costs..
