Basic hotel

The hotel was ok for the price. Very basic, but served its purpose for me. I managed the find the route and walked to and from the airport to the hotel (about 30 minutes), avoiding the dual carriageway. Arrival was ok as it was during the day. I'm not sure how it would be if it was 'after hours'. The small bathroom was ok and the shower worked and was warm. The towels were very hard. It was a bit noisy at times as they walls are quite thin I think. It was good that the windows opened. I don't think there was air con in my room, so I wouldn't like to stay in the hotel during summer. No fridge. There is a big supermarket nearby which was handy.

Zero star prison

Dreadful hotel. Arrived and the door was locked with all the lights off. Had to call an Italian phone number from my uk mobile which will incur a cost. Eventually someone came. The room needed redecorating. The loo seat was broken. The towels felt like cardboard. The coffee machine didn’t work. The curtains didn’t fully cover the windows. Nobody in reception when I left. Luckily 1 was asleep for most of the time I was there.

The hotel was hard to find and is located in an office building. Because there was a Christmas party that night it was annoying loud. The room wasn’t clean at all.

This is within a medical centre and is one presumes normally for patients and relatives. Once you negotiate that it is an excellent stay. Buses, trains and taxis to town. Good value

Great option for airport hotel

We chose the Verona Hotel for its proximity to the airport, which was a key factor in our decision since we arrived quite late. However, we quickly learned that because it's so close to the airport, no taxis were willing to take us. This left us walking, which ended up being a bit tricky, as we found ourselves navigating alongside a main road – likely a result of Google Maps' suggested route. Once we arrived, the hotel was more akin to a bed and breakfast rather than a traditional hotel. Located at the top of an apartment and office building, it had a cosy and welcoming feel. The accommodation was excellent, with all the essentials you’d expect, and we were very comfortable during our stay. In the morning, arranging a taxi via Uber was much easier than our arrival experience. So, if you're planning to stay at the Verona Hotel, I highly recommend organising transportation ahead of time for your arrival, especially if you're coming in late. Overall, it was a lovely stay, with the only hiccup being the transportation issue. Once there, the hotel exceeded our expectations, and we would happily stay again.

The settings of the hotel wasn't that great. The entrance is not visible, we had to go around the property twice. There is a clinic next to the hotel and there was no breakfast, but the service at front desk was very welcoming.

ADEQUATE for one night close to airport

Booked this hotel because of close proximity to airport and on site parking. Also because it offered staffed front desk until 10pm - I became suspicious when I was contacted informing me I must ask for ‘check in instructions’ (if the booking had been cancellable I would have done so) - duly made the enquiry but received no communication. The check in was totally automated (have had very poor experience with this hence avoid) there were no staff - it is not really a hotel just a few rooms over a medical centre on what appears to be an industrial estate - hotel opposite appeared to be a far superior option - with staff and a restaurant! You live and learn.

Unable to review this property as my booking was processed incorrectly [wrong date] I tried immediately to contact them by phone but no answer, I contacted Expedia next and "Vinny" was very helpful & contacted Star Hotel on my behalf but got a poor response. I emailed Star Hotel myself evening of Thursday 14th 9.03 PM to their published email address info@starhotelairportverona.com but received no response after nearly 4 days. My conclusion Expedia GREAT, Star Hotel Verona Airport Extremely POOR. Regards Bruce Kadwill

The shampoo and the things in the bathroom were nice. One of the men was nice to my husband and let him use the bottle opener. The people in the morning were very strange. The lady was odd and when we left our room she went in to clean and when we came back she moved all our stuff when nothing was in the way to clean. Not only that she moved our toothbrushes and things like that which was very odd and I don’t think they should’ve touched our things. They forgot our towels twice. The bed was supposed to be a queen bed but they were two singles pushed together, it was terrible because they kept coming apart. You couldn’t use our converter in the charging ports, they were too small so we had to charge our phones in the bathroom. If wanting to walk, it is an isolated area within an industrial estate, not a walkable area. There were people who parked their trucks outside and would socialise loudly which we could hear from our window. Wouldn’t recommend for the extortniate price. You’re better finding a different hotel nearer to Dossobuono train station so that you can get easy access to Verona Porta Nuova or a hotel within the centre.
