This is a really well run hotel. The rooms were spotless, air conditioned and ours had a little private balcony overlooking a leafy quiet side street. The receptionist took it upon himself to phone our rental car supplier and clarify all the details which was a big help as my French is not that good. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the train station and 1 minute from the central square, brilliant.
This hotel is in the heart of Avignon, and makes it easy to enjoy the city on foot. The rooms are nicely decorated, clean, and have very comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was fantastic.
Travelled in a party of 5, had the top floor plus terrace to ourselves, very quiet. Clean, nicely decorated rooms with everything you need. Towels and toiletries changed every day. Comfortable beds. Air con quiet and efficient and essential. On the main shopping street with lots of old, characterful side streets to explore. Only a few metres from the Palais des Papes, dozens of restaurants and bars. Staff really helpful and friendly, also speak very good English. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Taxi from TGV (Eurostar) station about 15 euros. Avignon is a gorgeous city with plenty to do. Booked a full day trip to the surrounding countryside which was hugely enjoyable. Will definately be returning to this hotel.
Delightful room in a quirky, period building, right in the centre of the Old Town. Wonderful breakfast with a wide range of local jams, jellies & breads. Owners & staff all lovely. Only slight downside was street-sweeper vehicle just before 6 each morning! But it meant the street was beautifully clean! Highly recommend this hotel.
Great location. Charming couple-very helpful & friendly. Nice modern, clean room with a little balcony overlooking a side street & a lift. Beds a little too firm. Bathroom quite narrow..So good to be able to make a tea or coffee. Excellent value. Would stay again..
This hotel offers an incredibly good breakfast. Croissants, cereals, meats, cheeses, honey, jams, several types of bread, coffee, several different teas, boiled eggs, and more. You can eat as much as you want and it is all very good quality. The location is perfect, with several restaurants close by (look down the side streets in the pedestrian area for restaurants rather than those in the main square). 2 local transport buses run from either outside the hotel or just round the corner. The staff are very helpful and welcoming, and most spoke very good english. The room (number 201) was on the second floor (lift available), and overlooked the side street, with 2 small balconies. The rates were very reasonable and we were offered use of an umbrella when we went out in the rain - good service!
The breakfast was by far the best experience of our stay at the Regina. With local honeys and jams and a variety of breads and pastries that far exceeded my experiences from other, similarly-priced establishments. The jams etc are also for sale. The rooms were clean and well-lit with high ceilings, though the bathroom was a bit small and not ventilated. Bed and pillows I found were a little hard. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, printing us a bus route map to help find our destination outside of the walled city. English is spoken by most of the staff. Overall one of the better experiences I've had in my travels.
Took my daughter to the rugby league international and we stayed on for a few days to visit this delightful city. Our room had two sizeable beds and a beautiful view from the balcony. Staff were friendly and unintrusive. I'll definitely stay again.
The Regina is a lovely small hotel an easy walk from the train station and very close to the town center. The rooms are not large, but very comfortable. The staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is standard French. Croissants, pain au chocolate, cheese, etc., but plenty served in a nice dining area.
Great location, fair price, nice people, great breakfast. If you are looking for a nice place, that's not too expensive, hard to go wrong here. Room was larger than most we stayed at in our recent trip to France.
