Large apartment equipped with: AIR CONDITIONING, fast WI-Fi, dishwasher and a fantastic lake view terrace equipped with deck chairs and a convivial area to be able to dine al fresco while enjoying a fantastic view of the lake. Crossing the road, you can take a nice refreshing swim by diving from the small pier or sunbathe on the small beach just 50 meters away.

Was honestly a little shocked at the state of the place given the pricing. We weren’t able to check in at 4p as stated on the listing. The bathroom door wouldn’t close all the way so luckily I was very familiar with the friend I stayed with. Some panel fell off the wall in the middle of the night which startled us. If you are arriving or leaving by Fiumelatte station, be aware there are multiple levels of cobblestone stairs you will trek. The floors were a bit dusty/dirty and there was a repetitive sound that drove us crazy, not sure if it was a leak or what. Only one of the AC remotes worked which luckily wasn’t an issue for us. Pro’s were that the hosts were fairly responsive, pillows were comfortable, and the view was beautiful. The walk to Varenna is pleasant. Would not stay here again at the current price.

Fiumelatte Apartment

Clean property with updated kitchen and bathroom. It is furnished with family cast-offs supplemented by cheap Ikea type furniture. All walls and woodwork are slathered in white paint obliterating any and all period details. Insufficient cooking equipment (3 pots), but adequate dishes, cutlery and glasses. The terrace, which is the feature of the apartment, appeared unswept, with dirt and debris apparent, and mops and pails left out. Parking at this location is extremely difficult and if you come without a car there is a 25-40 minute walk to Varenna for services and restaurants. Owner is local and is easy to reach. He answers his phone and is very pleasant.

Perfect all around!

Every aspect of this listing & stay was great! The listing is a true depiction of what you’ll get. Spacious, clean, stocked (coffee, towels, linens, dishwashing tablets, etc.). It’s right on the water in town. Management is very responsive and top notch. There is an amazing restaurant next door. It’s roughly a 15-20min easy walk into Varenna where you can visit markets & have further restaurant options. If you want to cook a meal, everything is in the unit. I’d stay here again when I come back to Como!

Séjour à Fiumelatte

Notre séjour à Fiumelatte était parfait ! A deux pas de Varenna, sûrement le plus charmant village du coin. En revanche point important auquel nous avons dû être confrontés : il n’y a pas de garage inclu. Les garages autour sont payants et parfois bondés, les places sont rares dans la région et cela peut vite devenir un problème. A part cela, tout était parfait ! Merci !
