This long white brick building from Dieppe, built at the end of the 17th century, used to house the horses of travellers who would spend the night at the Post House located on the other side of the road in the heart of the village. These stables form a complex, in a farmyard, with the former blacksmith's house as the main house, currently another cottage: "the Little House".
Sabine, the owner, has passionately transformed this place into a magnificent loft space centred around an inner courtyard, serving as a friendly dining-kitchen area.
One bedroom is located in a mezzanine above the living room (with a bathroom on the ground floor). To access the third bedroom, which has 3 single beds, you must pass through the second bedroom (double bed) and its bathroom.
The courtyards to the south and north are treated as garden terraces. These are planted with aromatic herbs, where everyone can help themselves and prepare delicious little dishes.
By a small path, you can access another intimate garden, with a view of the meadow where young cattle graze. This garden is equipped with a swing and a ping-pong table.
The emphasis of this place is on creativity, refined colours, indoor and outdoor plants that reflect the taste of gardens in Varengeville.

Charming accommodation
The accommodation was comfortable and well-equipped. We loved the colourful and cozy style. Nice and warm on a couple of rainy winter days. Our host was very helpful and friendly. We would love to stay there again!

Erholung pur in einem besonders stilvollen Haus mit tollem Garten und netter Eigentümerin
Das Haus ist stil- und geschmackvoll eingerichtet und hat einen besonderen Flair. Es war von der Größe für uns mit 5 Personen genau passend. Im Garten, der in verschiedene Bereiche aufgeteilt ist, blüht es überall. Der "Feengarten" im hinteren Bereich lädt zum Lesen, Verweilen, Kühebetrachten und zum Sundowner ein. Leider war der Zaun bei den Kühne für unseren Hund nicht engmaschig genug, sodass er oft an der Leine bleiben musste. Spiele wie Boule, Bogenschießen usw. sind vorhanden. Die Tischtennnisplatte gab es leider nicht mehr.
Die Eigentümerin, die im Haus nebenan wohnt, hat uns herzlich empfangen und sich um alles gekümmert, wenn wir mal was benötigt haben.
In 20-30 Minuten läuft man zum Strand mit den Steilklippen. Zum Bäcker und kleinen Supermarkt sind es 5 Gehminuten.
Varengeville ist ein wunderschönes Dorf mit äußerst gepflegten, meist älteren Häusern und unglaublichen Gärten.
Wir kommen gerne wieder.

außergewöhnliche schönes Haus und Ambiente
Wir waren zum zweiten Mal in diesem Haus, als Familie mit zwei fast erwachsenen Teenagern. Das Haus ist außergewöhnlich kunstvoll und liebevoll eingerichtet und die Küche gut ausgestattet. Wir hatten beim ersten Mal etwas Sorge vor dem Verkehr, weil das Haus direkt hinter einer Hecke an der Hauptstraße liegt. Besonders am Wochenende sind tagsüber etliche Motorradfahrer und Autos unterwegs, aber zum Garten hin bekommt man deutlich weniger davon mit, sodass es kaum stört, und ab dem frühen Abend und nachts ist es dann sehr ruhig.
Sehr schön ist, dass man auch bei schlechtem Wetter innen viel Platz und viele Liege- und Sitzmöglichkeiten hat zum Bücher lesen oder Schmökern. Und bei gutem Wetter direkt vor dem Haus oder auch hinten vor der Kuhwiese schöne Fleckchen findet, die man für sich alleine hat. Man erreicht einfach zu Fuß den Dorfladen, die wunderbare Patisserie oder etwas weiter bzw. mit dem Fahrrad auch die Küste, alles in allem ein ganz wunderbarer Ort für einen entspannten Aufenthalt, Vielen Dank an Sabine!

Une maison pleine de charme et d'originalité
Nous avons passé un week-end prolongé très agréable dans cette demeure chaleureuse et atypique. Mais il est vrai qu'il faudrait être plus précis dans le descriptif de la maison à savoir préciser qu'une chambre donne sur une mezzanine ouverte et une autre (celle avec les 3 lits simples) a un passage obligatoire par la 3ème chambre pour sortir et accéder à la salle de bains. Ce n'était pas un problème pour nous mais ça peut l'être pour d'autres locataires. Globalement nous sommes enchantés de cette escapade à Varengeville et ses magnifiques falaises.

MAUVAIS DESCRIPTIF VOLONTAIRE DE LA MAISON
le descriptif annonce 3 chambres, en réalité il y en a que deux
- une en mezzanine du salon sans porte intermédiaire (non décrit)
- la seconde a l'opposée au rdc, avec la salle de bain et le wc attenant - et en mezzanine sans porte ou mur séparatif, une seconde pièce de 3 lits - de celle ci il faut passer par la chambre en bas pour aller a la salle de douche et au wc - pratique en pleine nuit avec des gens qui ne sont pas de la famillle ....
lorsque que j'ai évoqué cette tromperie on me répond :
*les Français se plaignent toujours et ne sont jamais content (la propriétaire)
*cette maison a un "esprit loft" (la femme de ménage) donc avec "esprit loft" on peur faire n'importe quoi
* on ne le mets pas cela sur l'annonce volontairement (tu parle personne ne la louerais a ce prix pour deux chambres...)
on rajoute un réfrigérateur a l'extérieur de la cuisine (celui de la cuisine est un table top pour célibataire), aucune place pour ranger les réserves de nourriture (les deux grands placards sont réservés par la propriétaire)
bref mauvais descriptif au minimum, probablement volontairement mensonger qui a gâché mon Week end et l'agence ignore cette réclamation en me faisant passer pour un mauvais coucheur.................
