Grouse Inn

Amazing location close to Stanley park, grouse mountain, capilano bridge. Location is the best part of the hotel. Rooms require work. Old carpets, marked bath tub, dusty floors etc. Pool was good but not warm enough although advertised as heated pool. Complimentary breakfast was decent.

Internet was down or very tenuous at best. Made it difficult to make travel plans. Breakfast is continental. They have hard boiled eggs and waffles one can toast, but it is essentially cereal. When we asked staff about nearest Catholic Church, we were given the names of two churches in Vancouver itself, one of which is Episcopalian.

Totally different building from the photos; the room was instead in a motel that is separate from the other complex. Musty smell when checking in. Dust around furniture. Dead insect corpse squashed in bathroom. Toilet paper roll half used. Rusty and chipped bathtub. The floor sagged in places and normal steps will wobble the furniture. Towel had a faint brown stain. Certain utilities didn't work. The "spacious" two queen beds and a table shown in the photos when booking was misleading. It's two doubles and there wasn't even room for a table next to the beds. Don't bother eating in the room, not enough seating for more than one person. Dim lights, had to turn on every lamp just to see properly. Looks like there's a planned construction site next door for a future hotel. The motel (not inn) is located next to a four way intersection, lots of exhaust, but thankfully the room was facing inwards, like a courtyard with parking. Hotel staff was pleasant. The location has wasted potential. Needs MAJOR renovations and overhauls.

Clean & comfortable stay. Decent breakfast, friendly staff

Friendly, clean, accessible and reasonably priced place to stay.

Room looked clean, until I undid the sheets.. I was able to get a full refund for my two nights since I did not stay in this hotel for more than 10 minutes.

The room was nice and big enough for four people. The room was clean and we slept really well. It's always grateful to have breakfast and parking. The only thing that we didn't like was that the sink wasn't working, but overall was good.

We booked the hotel because it was close to Stanley Park and the price was reasonable, especially in light of other hotels in the downtown area. The room was clean, but dated. The staff was helpful. They had our reservations and allowed us to check in early. The room was also quiet and bed comfortable.. We enjoyed our overnight stay.

They place is not luxury by far, but the price, location and relax environment makes up for this. Room was ok, had a fridge but no microwave. The bathroom could use an update and the pool repair, but comfortable. The free breakfast is simple and all carbs, with boiled eggs, nothing to fill up on. The staff are overall friendly, I saw the maintenance and cleaning staff hard at work. I for sure would stay here again and would recommend to friends.

We had a clean comfortable king size bed suite which meant a large Jacuzzi tub, and room for a table to eat dinner at.

Staff was very friendly and attentive. Curtains in front room were not wide enough to close all the way. We made do with cushions. Overall stay was fine even though it is bit older and shows the wear and tear.

Great location if you want to visit nearby sites. The only thing that could be better was the hotel Wi-Fi, it was very poorly and sometimes it keeps disconnecting. We hope they get it right for future customers. Other than that it's a nice convenience hotel with free parking!

Room was clean and comfortable. Location was good. Breakfast was heavy on the carbs (bread, cereal, waffles) but perfectly fine. 24 hour chai latte machine was wonderful! Very good value for the cost. Recommended

Only 10 minutes drive from downtown Vancouver. Excellent value if you are budget minded. Breakfast is plain but with the price I paid....well, no complaint. Shower is very nice and bed is comfortable. Will stay again.

My friend and I went to Vancouver to see One Direction at BC Place. Our AirBnb fell through so we made last minute reservations at this hotel. It was pretty far away from the concert but we had a car and couldn't beat the price. The only weird thing about the room was that there weren't curtains covering the whole window so people walking by could see us all the time. The ladies at the front desk were super nice though and called us a cab when we needed it.

Enjoyed the stay. Impressed with the kind staff. Very good quality for the money. Will stay again for sure.

Good location. Wifi is terrible though. I need to reconnect my phone to the service over and over again. Breakfast is kind of plain. The TV remote was missing in my room. Bathroom is in good condition and bed is comfortable. Was a quiet night for my stay.

Clean, good breakfast, good ambience. Beds can be improved if foam matress option is provided.

Stayed here one night. Very easy to get to from the 99 and close to Grouse Mountain/Capillano. Very airy feel to the hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. AC was a bit loud. Complimentary breakfast was okay - no protein though. Front staff was very polite and helpful and gave us some coupons to use. For the price, location, and staff, I would definitely stay here again.

Nice, comfy, inexpensive hotel with friendly service. Restaurant on-site, and also next to another one. Visitor's Centre across the street, and also very close to a bus route that goes into downtown Vancouver. Pretty good shopping selection in the area.
