We loved our stay here. The hotel, is so peaceful, clean and beautifully traditional. The food is delicious, very wholesome and made of natural ingredients to order. All the staff were so helpful and work hard to please. However a big shout out to Noemi who has gone above and beyond her job to organise forgotten laundry to be returned to us. She has been so lovely and helpful.

Beautiful pool and courtyard; very helpful and friendly staff; delicious hot breakfast with fresh fruit and coffee. Very convenient location - walkable to many restaurants and tourist attractions. Hotel Posada San Juan is a charming place. Our room was lovely and comfortable, including a hammock. The location was great, on a fun neighborhood square where we watched a local dance group practice traditional dances. It was an easy walk to the main town square. We wish we would have stayed there longer!

Not the best experience

While the hotel was lovely, it was not worth $300 a night. No real restaurant or bar, no one working reception in the mornings, no generator when the power goes out, and the a/c really struggled to work, etc And the construction on the road outside the hotel was so loud and intense it was vibrating and throwing dust all over the hotel. It really should not be open during this construction period. It went from 7am until almost 8pm every night

*Almost* perfect

We had a very pleasant 2 night stay. Building 2 of the hotel is beautifully designed and a perfect sanctuary in busy Valladolid. We especially appreciated Gabriel’s genuine warm welcome and assistance. One detail left us surprised at the end: we were told we could leave a small load of laundry into be done. So we did. What we weren’t told is that the price would be exorbitant. The bill we received was itemized, and claimed that I had 12 dresses (I had zero), that we had 7 pairs of pants (there was 1 pair of workout leggings), etc. The bill amounted to the equivalent of 40 US dollars. There was some back and forth, the staff insisted that the bill was correct, and in the end we were offered a 15% discount on the itemized bill. We paid it and left Valladolid with a tainted view of an otherwise very nice stay. So stay, eat, enjoy - just don’t do laundry!
