Disappointing stay

Two things let this stay down. The first was a leaking toilet and constant sound of running water as the flush mechanism had broken and kept me up most of the night. The second I had limited time for breakfast and when I arrived many of the food dishes were empty (bacon and scrambled eggs etc.) and the wait delayed my schedule.

Was a really nice stay. The front reception staff were very helpful, allowing a late-checkout and even helped provide french/english plug converters. The rooms are a nice size and organised in a very modern way. It's a long walk from the train station...perhaps 12 minutes or so...but well worth it. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

Very nice stay!

The bed was very comfortable and ‘super king size’. The bedroom wall was well finished- not something I usually comment about , but if you have any interest in interiors, you’ll find a modern concrete finish with embossed designs. I love well finished concrete! So a classy hotel in a great part of town.

Warm and Welcoming Staff

The familiarity of a Mecure hotel (simple, modern European design) with the warm and helpful staff at Valenciennes made this a ideal place to stay the night. The rooms are clean, simple and all you need for a comfortable nights stay. Didn’t have drink at bar or dinner but breakfast was very good with delicious buffet options. Walking distance to some good bars/restaurants too!
