Generally, it is a very nice hotel and the staff is very helpful. We enjoyed our stay which was almost perfect. However, room cleaning was sometimes disappointing - the maids were not very attentive with the missing things in the bathroom and we frequently had to ask for what we needed. The bathrobes and the slippers are availiable only on request. We booked a room with a lateral sea view, but the photo on the hotel's website is pretty different from the view you may have from the rooms of this category. Initially we were allocated room 510 which offered a view dominated by the nearby building. We asked for a new room and the second day we were allocated room 208 which offered exactly the same view as the photo posted on the site.
+++ • Friendly and helpful staff. Most of the questions are immediately addressed. • Although most of the staff members speak Spanish only, all are very patient with non-Spanish speakers. • Nice food and a great sea view. We were initially planning to eat out in other restaurants, but we’ve enjoyed the choice and quality of food in the hotel. There was something new cooked every day. There is an open air area with the sea view, which we really enjoyed. Don't expect Michelin stars though. • There is a bar located right on the beach, which serves drinks and snacks and can charge the bill to your room. • Clean rooms, even bed covers get regularly changed. • Really enjoyed the evening open air entertainment/animation. There were shows from different artists every day and the shows did not repeat for two weeks that we've stayed in the hotel. Evening started with great animation for kids at 9:30 pm, followed by the shows for all ages at 10:30 pm. • Internet seems to be fast enough: Speedtest was showing 20+ Mbps. Internet works well everywhere in the hotel, including the adjacent pool area. The signal strength does not reach the beach, so you may want to use a local SIM card. • Very comfortable meal time ranges, so people don't come all at once and you can choose a good time for yourself. • Enjoyed the next day laundry service. • Very efficient air conditioning. It's comfortably cool everywhere even when it's very hot outside. • There is a convenient paid parking in the hotel basement, in case you are lazy enough to find a free space outside the hotel, or if you don’t want to leave your car outside in the hot sun. • When you return to the hotel from the beach, there is a convenient place to wash the sand off you shoes and feet. - - - • Tea only comes in tea bags, no loose leaf tea. • There is a road in front of the hotel, so if you occupy the sunbeds close to the road you'll smell the exhaust fumes. But this area is easily avoided if you go to the beach. • There are corner rooms on each floor that have a wall view instead of the garden view. They are also located near the noisy ventilation pipe. We've been booked into one of these rooms, obviously without knowing, and have been hopefully relocated into a different room when it became available. • The gym is very basic: a few treadmills and barbells in a rather small room. We did not need it anyway. • Although much care is taken to clean the rooms, only obvious things are cleaned. Looked up at the ceiling of my room once and found a lot of dust on the lightbulbs. • Glasses for the juice have been dirty on some rare occasions. So it seemed that someone just rinsed them a little before the next guest. Same is about cutlery. Plates are always very clean though and very hot, so your food won't get cold. Tips: • Choose the room carefully. The rooms that have a sea view also have a view of the evening entertainment which goes on in the pool area. So you can view the shows from your balcony. However, if you go to bed early, i.e. before midnight, you may want to choose a garden view room. • There are many rooms equipped for people with special needs, which is good. But if you don't need these extras you may find yourself booked into one of these rooms by default. • Prepare to pay EUR 4.5 per sunbed per day on the beach. Sunbeds in the pool area are free to use. • Note that the hotel is relatively small, compared to the large Egyptian or Greek resorts. • The beach is really very big, and there is a road for cycling and jogging. We've chosen the area because of this.
Excellent hotel across the street from a beautiful Spanish beach. The hotel has its own pool and Jacuzzi tub in case the surf is too rough. The patio bar next to the pool area has a stage and plenty of seating. The on-site restaurant serves buffet meals all day. And the roof top bar has excellent views and a great atmosphere. The rooms are average, but the true draws of the hotel are the beach and pool.
We had a lovely five day stay. Mostly Spanish tourists, creating a vibe at the hotel that we liked. Light and well maintained rooms. We booked with sea view, worth the bit of extra money. Friendly staff. Good food. Perfect to combine with a trip to Valencia. No points of dislike. For Spanish standards a relatively expensive hotel, but we would certainly return
Fantastic hotel once you get passed the reception. At the arrival: You are a bike friendly hotel. Can a store my bike? No. After 10' insisting they at last say it is full but I can store my bike for 2 days in the luggage room. There is a running event you sponsor, can we participate? No. 24 hours later I discover there is a guarantueed entrance for people staying at the hotel. How does the safe works, the paper in the room is missing. Push #, there is no #. Second attempt, I do not know, come back tomorrow and we shall sent a technician. Fortunately there was the young men taking care of the lugage who solved all of our problems. The rest of the staff is super friendly, food is super. If we are in the area we'll definitely return.
Pool area a good size and well supervised. Aqua-aerobics in pool lasted for an hour and was offered every day which was good fun. Other activities also offered. Dining room very nice and again staff very helpful. We had wine included with our meal and my only comment would be is that the hotel should offer a wider variety of choice of wines with this inclusive deal.
Comparing to one Alicante's hotel, it is like paradise. We had half board - huge choice of different dishes. Room was big enough (bathroom too), nice and clean. Friendly service. The negative sides were 1) low season, promenade and beach were almost empty 2) you can hear everything very good what is going on in the corridor/rooms nearby.
The staff were very helpful and we had a great stay in general. Outstanding breakfast, including fresh orange juice! Just a minor point when checking in. The front desk Manager looked too serious and uninviting. A warm smile would have "fixed" that "problem!
A group of us recently stayed at the RH Bayren for a long weekend and were very impressed. The room was great, very clean with great views. Only downside was that the air con wasn't very good for the temperature. The food at breakfast and lunch was fantastic and great value, lunch was only 14 euro for the buffet. Drinks at the bar were generally cheap, especially the local bears and wines. All the staff worked very hard and were extremely polite, especially Espe who didn't seem to stop running around, a very very hard worker! Thanks again for an amazing stay, hope to return at some point.
we arrived to the hotel where we have been staying for years when we have travelled from Finland to Malaga and back. Hotel is execellent and we had before good experience but when we came there after driving 700 kilometers we went the best suite which was in disastrous condition. It had not been cleaned at all and swines have messed in the suite. We had to wait for one hour for cleaning. We received 50% discount which was not enough to please us.
