So generally a good experience at this hotel - really between average and good. Good things were: Proximity to Arts and Sciences Park Pleasant and helpful staff Convenient for bus stop to the city Shopping centre and department store nearby Could walk to marina and beach (but there is a bus) The hotel was large and modern but rather soulless, stark and impersonal. Many dark corridors inside, dimly it. We did not eat in the restaurant as there was rarely anyone in and no atmosphere. A large and bright breakfast room, reasonable choice of food, although cooked not to our taste, OK coffee but machine. Small pool, not much space. Nice garden area but nothing to sit on. Disappointed with: No tea/coffee making facilities but the bar will give you a jug of hot water. Damage to bath, rusty bits, not attractive. Creaky bed. Poor TV channels (as usual for UK). WiFi a bit erratic in high rooms. Outside the front of hotel was often dirty - cig ends and bits of paper - from dirty people, not fault of hotel but needed attention. Limited choice of good restaurants near hotel. All in all - good value for a short stay and to see the main sights of Valencia.
Really nice hotel, check in staff were really nice and helpful when we arrived, they let us check in early, were helpful with directions and buses as well. room was really nice , big comfortable bed , very clean, nice bathroom, all very tastefully decorated as was the rest of the hotel, outside pool was nice after a day of walking round the city, was a sun trap right through the day. Breakfast buffet was nice and varied , good pastries, very moreish!! , This hotel is in a good position to see all of Valencia, about 15 minute walk to the beach , short bus ride to the city centre (No 19) to see all the sights, and right next door to plenty of shops and cafe's for good food, worth staying at.
We stayed 6 days at the Primus Hotel, May 17. Beautiful hotel, nice rooms, lovely restaurant, garden pool. Very helpful and friendly staff. We will definitely come back to Valencia and the Primus Hotel!
Easy to get to from airport, 11 euros return for 2 people ! 10 min walk from train station. Nice friendly welcome from staff and was able to check in and have our room early which was unexpected but a welcome surprise. Nice big room with nice bathroom, could do with a bit of updating but was fine for our 3 night stay. Breakfast ok would have been nice for more choice of hot food . Advisable to early at 730/8pm as very busy after that... Hotel close to science park and opposite huge shopping centre which was handy. About 20 min walk to beach which had plenty of bards and restaurants and a very nice beach, we liked it here. Recommend open top bus red and blue route and going to the old town. Big queues for aquarium which I would recommend booking in advance especially during school holidays,, Altogether good hotel in great location for beach and sightseeing and shopping and restaurants, would recommend.
The Primus was perfect for a tour of Valencia being only a short walk from the science museum and oceanographic centre, as well as plenty of excellent shopping centres and department stores. The old town is about a ten minute taxi ride away and the beach is walkable. The staff were helpful and very polite and the coffee great. Breakfast was fantastic with a real choice of good and plenty of fresh fruit and juices. There was something for everybody. The pool area although small was beautiful and in full sun. We loved the comfy beds and the bathroom. We will definitely be back!
We recently visited the Spa at the Primus Hotel Valencia Super well equipped and the levels of hygiene and cleanliness where superb My wife and I enjoyed 80 minutes in the Spa experiencing the hot and cold treatments Which was followed by a superb relaxing 50 minute massage The bill for 2 people amounted to 130 € which represents great value
This hotel is right in the heart of Valencia and has none large rooms and good bathrooms ..... it is overall a very good hotel but from me being used to hotels in Asia/India/Middle East it is missing some basic amenities ..... Free bottled water in the rooms, room team and coffee self service (nothing's is in the room accept a very expensive mini bar) and no tea or coffee on the room service menu ...... us British and out need for tea ...... Everything else just fine .... but found the daytime front desk staff to be a bit sharp and unfriendly but night staff on the two nights we stayed were extremely friendly and helpful.
Nice hotel, very clean rooms and excellent breakfast. It is not so close to downtown. You could rent a bike to get there. Not so many restaurants around. Excellent breakfast and nice staff. Pool area is a plus
Really well located near the City of Sciences and Arts (beautiful Calatrava masterpiece), not far from the beaches (20 minutes), 30 minutes (in bus) far from the old city, this hotel is very charming. It's also amongst numerous shopping centers (Cortes Inglese, Aura), restaurants and bar (famous Barcelo!). Rooms are not very spaceful but the lobby as well as the first floor are very comfortable. To notice: a very large breakfast room :) I knew this hotel for a business seminar (march 2016) as well as for vacation with family (july 2016). In both cases people at the desk were nice and thoughtful. They took a while (1 month) before sending postcards we left there before taking a flight back and the sauna was closed during the stay with the family, but, globally, a very nice hotel you'll have to give it a try! db
It looked nice when we walked in. Staff want exactly friendly and seemed more keen on smiling to tourist than attending their duties. We arrived there at midday and were told that we couldn't go up to our room yet so we had to wait a while. It wasn't the end of the world but the problem was the actual room. I think it was just bad luck but we got a room with clear water damage. It wasn't as nice as we expected but very comfy and cosy. We'll try it again soon.
