We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights on a business trip then stayed on an additional 2 nights to see the city. What I liked: I liked the location of the hotel, we were able to walk to the beach and we also walked back from the old town too. We rented a bike from the hotel for a day which was lots of fun. The room had marvellous block out blinds. Nice little cafe at the side of the hotel What I didn’t like: No tea and coffee facilities in the room No iron in room We ate the breakfast on 2 of the mornings but thought it was very basic Buffet breakfast
Stayed here for 3 nights just after Christmas for a short break with our 2 children. The hotel is lovely and modern. We had an adjoining room so great space for all of us. They turn the air con off apart from summer months which was infuriating as it was boiling! 73 degrees when we were there and we had to keep the windows open to get some air to sleep but made it noisy. They had an indoor pool which kids couldn’t use and you have to pay extra for which is a rip off. The outdoor pool wasn’t heated and was dirty so couldn’t be used so that was disappointing! Kids weren’t happy. Breakfast was great. Beds spacious but pillows are tiny squares! Only English channels on tv are news(typical of European hotels..more channels for other languages..can’t be that difficult to get some movies on there?! Few minutes walk to science museum and aquarium. Right next door to the main mall Le Corte ingles. Good value for money and would recommend.
The Primus hotel is categorised 4 Star and charged €130 per night. We expected a well run hotel with nice rooms and were shocked when we discovered peeling wallpaper, unkempt skirting boards, pipes that don't work so that the water is not draining off. Even worse, the hotel generally gives the impression of dirtiness. There is dust everywhere, the surfaces have not been cleaned for ages (look at the low lights in the hallways, they are full of dirt), all the glasses (not just a few) at breakfast were unclean, the glasses in out room were not cleaned by room service, there was a hair on my bedside lamp... the list goes on. We were shown three rooms, after we thought # 619 was a bad exception, but# 122 reeked of smoke and we then stayed at #120, accepting our fate. Looking at tripadvisor, these comments do not stand in isolation, but other travellers noticed this too. We decided not to eat in the hotel or use the spa as we could not trust the standard of cleanliness. Prior to Hotel Primus, we stayed at the Balandrat at a similar pricepoint - what a difeerent experience! Staff who actually cared, a lovely room with personal touches adn very clean. What a shame a hotel that is only 10 years old looks that run down. Obviously we will not stay with you again but will also take the opportunity to post an honest review on social media to warn other travellers. One highlight is a receptionist called Rafael, very nice, friendly and competent employee.
Location - near Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, close to marina and Malvarrosa Beach, bus station in front of hotel linking it to old town. Close are El Cortes Ingles and Aqua Mall for shopping and lots of restaurants. Which is great. Staff - some problems with our reservation, eventually solved; the english at the reception not so great. Accomodations were good. The room and the bathroom were large, well lighted and clean. The only problem was the bed, which was comfortable, but it was literally moving when you were leaning on the wall to read something in bed. Breakfast was excellent. Cold and hot snacks, lot of meats and cheese, drinks, fruits and all kind of pastry. Really great.
I actually do not recommend this hotel for various reasons : 1- Being near from the main road , it is quite noisy . 2- Rooms are not clean enough for a 4 star hotel plus some items inside are not well functioning-The bed was unstable on the floor as it had wheels and made noise being used up . 3- We booked half board but food was not satisfactory and some of the dishes served were not fresh. 4- Staff was quite discourteous and improfessional plus poor English. I actually regretted the fact that I booked room here the thing that negatively influenced my vacation The management of this hotel should give attention and care to its customers to attract tourists instead of leaving bad impression and losing reputation.
We are just back from a very enjoyable week, 4 star hotel, booked a room with outdoor space which is on 1st floor, hotel was busy for the Valencia Moto GP which just added to the atmosphere, good underground parking, lovely Hydra Therapy Spa, great bar & breakfast, it is right in the city centre so you can walk to everything & have the river bed garden right there for walking, jogging or cycling, all the bars & restaurants are all done on foot & all the shops & huge department stores on the same block, would suggest this one to anyone for anytime of year, staff were great, all spoke English, but my husband spoke Spanish which they all loved, well done Hotel Primus see you again next year! Oh & taxi rank is 20 steps away if you don't want yo walk!
Me and my sister where here for 1 week. We enjoyed the hotel, it was very clean, our closet couldn't open but this was fixed in 1 day. The breakfast is only 10 euro and there is a lot of choice. We where sorry we had breakfast sometimes at other places. The sauna and swimming pool where not for free. We had to pay €20,00 per person for only 80 minutes! It was small, we didn't have the place only for us and too expensive. I go to a Spa a whole day for €30,00 and it is much better. The fitness was free but many devices where broken or could use some oil. There was no airco and while it is next to the Spa very warm inside.
The stay started a little puzzled when we were told at the reception that it would not be possible to receive an iron... we could however book the ironing service for €6 per shirt (ironing only...). The room size and the bathroom are ok. The wallpapers are starting to fall off and some of the switches also fell of the wall. Ok, if you stay only during the night and don't need much. Location is ok, if you use a bus or bike in order to reach both the city center or the beach
We had a great welcome from the front desk to the breakfast team, all were very helpful......... Primus is a modern hotel, close to the science park, shops and mall opposite with shops and restaurants. We hired bikes from the hotel which was a great way to get around the city. As a family they gave us a suite and adjoining room with a lounge and 2 bathrooms, we couldnt have asked for more space. We had the included buffet breakfast which would cater for most tastes. The only negative was a squeaky bed in the main room and some noise from the bars below at night. We enjoyed our stay and Valencia City and would stay again.
Lovely modern hotel near Ciudad de las Artes y las Scientias. Reception was very helpful in giving us information about the surroundings. We hired bikes for three days and within 2 minutes you’ll bike through the Turia Park. Family room was great and specious. Only one minor thing: the beds weren’t fixed to the floor and rolled away when reading in bed. Breakfast was perfect for us with enough choices. The pool was nice although we preferred the sea. We would love to come back someday.
