This hotel is clean, functional and comfortable. We got a good price and thought it would be ok for 3 nights, actually it was very good. Great location, nice room and bathroom, breakfast was good and we would definitely recommend. A quick mention for Carolina on reception who was very helpful when we had a problem with a traffic ticket and did her best to help us sort the issue out in a friendly and professional way.
more than one hour to find the hotel, with google maps on, for the last few hundred meters. The sign on the roof of the hotel is very visible, but useless when you drive a car. The sign of the hotel hidden by trees. No place where to park the car legally when getting luggage out of the car. So illegal parking in a dangerous place; trying to find the entrance of the hotel, finding the lobby is a real intelligence test; then getting all instructions, then parking the car underground, in a parking shared with a shopping centre, then carrying all the luggage without a trolley to the elevators ... does not sound as the best welcome. Underground garage is a nightmare, especially when leaving on a Monday morning: The shopping centre is closed; so is the shared parking. All lights off. We had to search our way with the lights of the smart phone. Then we couldn't find the exit. When finally we came to the exit, we could not get out: the time for getting out (30 min) had expired; so we had to call for help; this was not available readily, as on Monday mornings the parking is closed. At the reception: very friendly personnel, but nobody to guide you in this labyrinth Summary: upon arrival: 2 hours from last roundabout to the room ; upon leave: 2 hours, from the room to the exit of the garage. If you come: bring a lot of patience and maniana mentality.
The room was clean and comfortable, the hotel cozy and meals great. The staff were lovely, reciprocal and very caring. I felt very welcomed and valued as a customer/guest. The lunch staff were very forthcoming about the specialties of my diet. Thank you for a lovely stay!
The accommodation and meals were of high quality and staff are very attentive to your needs.Easy acces to the city center and to the beach. An entire shoping area underneath the hotel. Great spa/gym at 10 meters away.
Very nice and clean place. The classrooms we used are well equipped. The hotel staff is very kind. The hotel is situated on the top of a trade center, which has got several restaurants, shops and supermarkets.
The is a modern stylish hotel next to the city of Arts and Sciences. Valencia is a pretty spread out city, and I wouldn't describe the location as ideal unless you want to be near the Opera House etc., but if you are willing to put a bit of effort into mastering the buses and metro its not too difficult to get up to the old town or down to the beach - both well worth it! We had a nice modern room and reception staff were very helpful. Breakfast was disappointing - the hot buffet was unattractive and the rest just OK at best. Some days the staff seemed to be struggling to keep it all topped up. All in all worth considering if you get it at a good price (we did though Voyage Prive), but you might want to consider whether there are better locations for your own purposes.
This is a good Four Star, standard business hotel. Very clean, comfortable, and front desk staff very friendly. Located next to Park of sciences. Our stay was motivated by our visit to Vertical Restaurant for dinner. Good rates. José Campo, CHA
Not worth the money (160 euro/night)! Highly overrated! Not clean and very noisy room. The bathroom door didn't close . . .I booked the room in January, but when i arrived with my wife and child (11 pm) the extra bed was not in the room so we had to wait like 30 minutes, after a long journey, for it to be done. Regret choosing it!!!!
We booked the 'Ilunion Aqua 4' due to meeting up with friends.. ie it wasn't our choice not to be in the centre of town... we were a bit dubious BUT.. it turned out the Aqua 4 is the IDEAL base from which to explore Valencia, both due to its high standards, and its great location - highly recommend staying here. The reception staff were all very friendly and helpful.. they changed our foul smelling smoking room to a non smoking one immeadiately, and put us on the 8th floor - room 818. What a choice! we had views out towards the mountains and across to the harbour... my husband spent all his time 'ship watching' and was in his element! The mini suite was large, light and airy... huge bonus being able to open the windows... the air con was fine.. but I much prefer fresh air! The bed was large and very comfortable - pillows, like most filled with man made filling... too hard and uncomfortable for us... we slept SO well though! Lounge area was a great bonus... plenty of clothes hanging and storage space too. Bathroom was large, water always piping hot and towels very good quality, toiletries excellent. Very comfortable toweling bath robes... and slippers... wish I'd asked to buy some more pairs! so comfortable and they stayed on your feet... not like normal 'one size fits all NOT!' ones you get in hotels! Safe in room too. Beverage tray but only cream portions given. Fridge with cold drinks and water.. complimentary... very welcome as it was stonking weather whilst we were in the city. Breakfast was delicious. Lots of very fresh pastries/breads to choose from, super selection of very tasty cheeses, cold cuts, fruit. Small hot food choice. Boy did we enjoy our breakfasts!!! Staff were very nice too. Such an easy 5 minute walk to the fascinating City of Arts and Science ... El Corte Ingles on the doorstep and a huge Carrefour supermarket just across the roundabout. Delightful, flat, easy 30 minute walk into the old town along the park created in the old river bed... superb area.. full of trees, flowers, fountains... just loved this walk each day. 15/20 minute walk to the port area and amazing beach! Highly recommend the 'Ilunion Aqua 4' and Valencia as a place to stay and visit. We enjoyed every minute of our time there.
Booked a room for a stopover en route to Barcelona and wanted to have a look at Valencia to see if we wanted to return for a longer stay: we most certainly will. What a breath of fresh air after spending too long down South! Green areas with cycle lanes - loved it. Anyway, back to the hotel. Chose to park in the underground car park as risking parking on the road (yet to see a car without a dent) was too much. There is a designated hotel parking area but I missed it so just parked in the general shopping area. No matter, tickets/prices are all the same and the discount ticket offering 6 euro off the 20 overnight price that they give at hotel reception still works. Then it was into the lift. Yes, one lift for all the shoppers and hotel guests to get from the car park to the hotel level. The other 2 or 3 that you see when you arrive only go to the ground level entrance outside the building. Nothing they can do about it but a silly idea all the same. Reception was friendly and check in smooth. We booked 2 rooms and they had a bit of a faff tying them together for some reason. Gave one of us a smoking room. Makes you appreciate the no smoking law in hotels in the UK. Couldn't be bothered to ask for a room move but it would have been nice to have had the option to refuse if the hotel had mentioned it when they allocated the room especially as we had kids with us. Rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfy. I always appreciate a good Pikolin mattress. Air con provided loads of heat. Free water in the (non) fridge. Location for shops and restaurants was excellent being on top of a shopping centre. Loads of places to eat (how on earth we ended up in Taco Bel - oh yes, the kids chose) There's even a Corte Ingles next door if you need your Channel and Ted Baker fix. So close to the science park and aquarium and very pleasant walks to get there. Ended up grabbing some room service in the evening. Good enough and the wine was a bargain. My daughter loved her sandwich - easily pleased. Breakfast was great. Loads of choice and even a few hot dishes. Check out took a while as they only had one person and three guests plus phone calls. The other receptionist had scurried off to sign for a delivery and hid until we had all left lol. They had a little trouble selling us aquarium tickets because we had 2 rooms. All in all a great stay and I would hunt out Ilunion group hotels if staying in Spain again.
