Super 8 Valemount2.0 out of 5.0

I was pleasantly surprised at the size and level of comfort in the Super 8. As we were travelled by around Canada for several weeks, we mixed the luxurious with more modestly priced-this being in the latter category. Huge comfortable bed, fridge, coffee and tea available in the foyer as well as the room, a welcome self-service laundry facility and all the towels and toiletries you would need. The service was a game of 2 halves.. we were checked in by a delightful, helpful, girl, but the next morning a different receptionist was less than charming. This, together with really a noisy aircon, knocked a star off, but I would still recommend it.
Rooms recently renovated, so everything was nice and clean, but basic. The breakfast area is tucked away behind the front desk, and gets very crowded. You can't beat the location, though, as it's close to the highway and within walking distance of Valemont's business district.
Valemount is about 1hr20 outside of Jasper and we stayed here because Jasper was full. We checked in and our room hadn't been cleaned or made up, so we were moved to a different room. Beds were comfy, had a bath with shower. Only a coffee machine in the room which for a tea and decaf coffee drinker is no good! If you want tea you have to go and make it in the lobby and take it back up. There isn't milk just coffee mate. We came down for breakfast.... I'd rather the room have been cheaper and breakfast not have been included. There was a choice of pastries, waffles, toast, bagels and fruit. However none of it was fresh, there's a big fridge next to the food where all the bread, waffles etc is kept. You have to eat off polystyrene plates and use plastic cutlery - it was laughable to be honest.
Nice rooms. Internet was choppy (Staff explained that because of forest fire they have problems with communication). Breakfast is average. Service is very good. Selection of food items is average. Good staff.
Friendly staff. Helpful with advice about using laundry facilities. Has been recently renovated so carpets were nice and clean. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed. If you are a tea drinker in the morning, bring your own. Coffee was all that was available in the room. The breakfast was very minimal with a small eating area. Overflow had to eat outside.
I cancelled a non -refundable reservation by error. The Hotel Manager Rupesh and his staff were very empathetic and helpful in resolving the issue I had with hotels.com and help me reinstate my prepaid reservation. The hotel was newly renovated. Very Clean and spacious . The continental breakfast was great with Muffins, Croissants, waffles, Cereals and fruit
We called Super 8 on route and booked a room for one night. The rooms are newly renovated and very clean. Our room was on main floor and could hear the people above us when they walked across the room or moved " a chair" or piece of furnature. The breakfast room is very small and limited items. We had to make our own coffee in our rooms and no cream for coffee. We were pleased that the front desk told us about a coffee shop up the street. It was adiquit for a one night stop. We did feel that it was overpriced.
This was the first hotel we stopped at after a long night driving. The hotel has been updated. The rooms were nice and clean. The breakfast was very basic for the cost of the room. Overall was happy with this hotel and would stay again when needing a rest stop.
Stayed one night on our way through to Alberta. Paid over $200 with tax for one room with two queen beds. The room was clean and newly renovated. The outside of the hotel looked like it hadn't been though. The continental breakfast was dismal. Toast cereal croissant coffee juice. That's it. I saw someone with a bagel but there were none left. Only apples for fruit.
Our room was clean and newly renovated, good location. The hotel was nice and quiet. Front desk staff was quick and efficient. We would stay here again and recommend this hotel.
