Super 8 Valemount2.0 out of 5.0

Just returned from our Canadian holiday which was a two week road trip. This happened to be one of the stop overs If you can think of radiator springs from the movie cars then you will understand this town. People are lovely and very welcoming just not much to do. The young lady at reception was very welcoming The room was fine - clean and beds comfy which I suppose is all you need but the hotel was lacking something Breakfast disappointing paper plates and cups, Milk still in the container not in a jug etc. All a bit bland unfortunately My shock was the price we paid given the area and the facilities. We stayed at a boutique hotel in whistler two days after this for less money than this place. Not worth the money they are charging. Plus no one there on checkout just a basket to leave your key so no one to even discuss any issues with or say thank you for your stay. If you are coming with children there is a lovely park in the town which could keep them busy for a bit but other than that not much to do. Although May change with the weather. Try the truck stop for dinner down the road and have a chocolate milkshake you won't be disappointed
Driving from Edmonton to Kamloops, we conked out in Valemount, needed an inexpensive place to stay the night, found the rate at Super 8, but was pleasantly surprised with the service and cleanliness.
Breakfast was just disappointing. The yogurt was just laid on out a counter and not in a bowl of ice or refrigerated therefore it was warm. The mini muffins were terribly dry you couldn’t eat them and had no flavour.nimthink it was supposed to be banana but not sure. . So overall breakfast experience was poor. The only other comment I would have is about the tv satellite listing. Although there is a station listing card in the room it would be most helpful if there could be an actual channel on the tv with a TV guide listing so you know what is on to watch rather than having to scroll through each channel to see what’s on.
Nice large room mostly clean but when I went to see what had fallen on the floor I saw the previous guests fast food wrappers. Also the upper kitchen cupboard was dirty with food crumbs. The fridge was noisy as well.
I would recommend this hotel. We stayed here overnight on our way to BC. Great place to spend the night.
Clean and attentive which is all that matters when you just need a place to stay for the night. Beds were comfortable which was great. Did not have breakfast as we left before it began but was impressed they put out a small breakfast for the early people who were leaving ahead of time. Alittle pricey for what it was $145.00
Hotel is located in the middle our trip path. Had to stay overnight! We had options of staying at cheaper hotels in the same town but wanted to stay in a brand name hotel. The hotel is clean and offers good services that we need. But, it is still a "motel". Due to the location, the price of the stay can be a bit elevated. We will stay again.
Nothing good or bad to say. Rooms clean, free breakfast not very appealing. Pictures on their website a bit misleading Close to highway and good place to break up a trip Dog friendly for an addition 20 bucks.
We did not encounter any of the issues from the other reviews. Security is good. Air conditioning works. In fact, this is a Super Super 8. Newly renovated rooms. Excellent help and advise from the front desk. The breakfast was dissapointing. Everything else was above expectations. This hotel is clean and no-fuss. Everything works. The internet is slow, indeed.
Front Desk Staff need to be train to how to deal with guests. Night Front Desk was too cooperative while day Front Desk was too rude. There were some toiletries were missing which were arranged on request. Breakfast was below average
