A great place to spend quality time with Friends

The house was such a wonderful and comforting place to return to at the end of a day exploring Valdez with friends. Having such a well appointed kitchen allowed us to eat breakfasts together and when we were worn out after a long day, we could come back and rest on the cozy couch or play board games at the large dining table.

Great alternative to a hotel

I am in Valdez on a frequent basis for work and have stayed in hotels and other VRBOs. This one had lots of space, massive kitchen, and a really comfortable couch to crash on after a long day of work. There is a large driveway for parking, high speed internet, and a laundry room….all necessities when working/playing in Valdez.

I wasn’t really sold by the photos but I’m glad I listened to the other reviewers and booked this one. Very clean, comfortable house in a good location. Bedrooms were roomy, with comfy beds, and had much appreciated blackout curtains. Large washer and dryer were a nice bonus.

Our adult family of four really enjoyed our stay at Black Gold Getaway over Labor Day weekend. The house was clean, well-stocked, nicely decorated, and a great size. Super convenient to the harbor area whether you drive, ride a bike, or take a long walk. Beautiful view of mountains, too. Check in/out instructions, general info, and communication with owner easy.
