The facility is excellent, however it would be better if the carpet can be improved.

Loved the location and friendly and informational staff , macala especially. Value is important and cleanliness…

Nice breakfast.

Cheap .easy to find. great location.

Only Better than sleeping outside. The maintenance guy told me this building was made like a trailer so don't expect that much what I asked him was that putting the window on the rail so we can shut it properly lol.

Great place to stay. At one end of Valdez, but easy walking distance to any location in the town. Staff very friendly. We will stay there again.

This "hotel" is the converted office of the Exxon Valdez cleanup crew I was told. The problem with this are the "walls" between rooms; they are more like "partitions" as you can listen to every word spoken by your neighbors. This problem is amplified to "close to unbearable" when you have neighbors with a dog that barks and and infant that starts screaming every couple of hours during the night.

The walls are paper-thin. Voices are clearly heard through the shared vent system and thin walls. I got some sleep but kept getting woken up by the thin walls.

Well worth the money.

Easy walking distance to all of Valdez

Door didn’t lock with key. Was brought to their attention and they told me to just lock it by hand but did no good because key didn’t work. Don’t stay here is you are a small family with dogs. You have zero room to do anything on the room except open the door. “Continental breakfast” means bagels or cereal. Way overpriced for a closet with beds in them.

It was ok but for the price it was small enough and kinda dirty, very limited selection for breakfast as well

Price on Orbitz was $130 per night. Was charged $156 per night when we checked in. I understand that there's a bed tax, but 20%%. Really? Plus the room is a dump. Definitely not worth $156 a night.

Very tired property with paper thin walls. Looks and feels like a refurbished pipeline camp. Good internet access, close to harbor and ferry terminal.

There are so many points, in order encountered: key is old motel style, room was 77.5 degrees, window opposite other units so no privacy if open window, wall mirror positioned so that can be seen in bathroom through window, shower drain did not work, smoke detector on ceiling was hanging by its wires and wrapped in plastic bag, manager brought fan - but outlet to plug it into did not work, room so small no room for chair or desk - etc. Room was dirty and old as we have never seen.

We are working on replacing the carpets but it is a slow-going process as it is not possible in the winter.

Our building is ATCO construction, but also a piece of history. It was built as an emergency office space during the Exxon Valdez oil spill before it was converted into a hotel in 1996. However, the ATCO construction and limited local supply for hardware can sometimes make repairs tricky, which is what I believe he was referring to. Sorry your stay was not up to your standard. We have been constantly working on upgrades since the new ownership took over, it just takes extra time, being in a small town at the end of the road.
