Novotel Paris Orly Rungis

On our way to our holiday destination in the southern part of France, we had a one night stay at the Novotel Paris Orly Rungis. I choose the hotel due to being located near the peripherique and being at the south of Paris. Finding the hotel was a little challenging as the roads aren't that clear and our navigation wasn't very helpful. However, we made our way and parked our car at the large parking. Check in was very slow with a long queue and only one staff member attending the check-in desk. There was more staff available at the front desk, but they were very busy talking with each other, so that gave a not so good impression. Being an Accor-member didn't helped speed up things, as there was no one manning the special desk. We had booked a family room and the kids could sleep on the sleeping sofa, which was sufficient. The room wasn't very large with the sofa folded down, but we were only there for the night, so no worries. The room itself was clean, as was the bathroom. Very convenient was the seperate WC when you are with four persons. The only downside to the room was the temperature. It wasn't very warm outside, but inside it was too warm and, although there was airco, keeping that on in the night was too noisy. My oldest son also went for a short swim when we arrived and he thought the pool was fine for that. Breakfast in the morning was fine, with enough on offer. The scrambled eggs however were not okay. Too runny and sticky and not fluffy as they should be. All in all, a fine stay at the Novotel for just a single night.

Unfortunately I was in a hurry and didn't check the room bill before entering my pin-code. The room price did include breakfast, but they still added 4x17 euros for breakfasts in the room bill. As I noticed this and asked to correct the charge, the person on the desk claimed that he does not know how to do it (yeah right) and promised to return it to my card later when the management comes. That naturally did never happen. Several emails to Novotel customer support or the hotel directly did not help either. Better just to avoid Novotel in the future.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this Novotel at Orly Rungis! My overnight stay was so bad that it was almost comical. Nothing really work at this hotel - WIFI crashed at my arrival and was not fixed till midnight, and then there was an electricity outage in the morning with no advanced warning. Staffs did not even explain why. In terms of air conditioning units, they don't have air conditioning like in most Asian and North American countries. The only saving grace is the Dyson fan in my room but it is a first for me that I actually have to turn on the fan after spending more than two months a year in hotels around the world. The window can be open in the rooms or else I would check out immediately and moved to another hotel. Avoid this hotel during summer time. The room was fairly typical Novotel and it has that bizarre toilet/bathroom separation. There is some kind of closet space and some shelves. Since I booked an executive room, it was nice to get have access to all mini bar items for free. Also I want to warn everyone about the shuttle service. It ran between 5:10am and 11:22pm daily (First bus from hotel is 5:10am and last bus leaving Orly South terminal at 11:17pm and then Orly West Terminal at 11:22pm.) They ran basically twice hourly between 5:10am and 11:10am, and between 3:10pm and 10:40pm. Between 11 and 3pm, they only ran once per hour with the bus leaving hotel only at ten minutes after the hour. Same with return, they only have one pick up per hour between 11am and 3pm. The hotel shuttle only stopped at two other Accor hotels - Mercure and IBIS. However, they are highly unreliable. On this particular morning, I wanted to take the 10:40am bus to the airport, since they had no electricity in the room. Despite waiting since 10:35am, no bus came till 11:10am. The staffs offered no explanation and showed no interest in helping out. Basically this hotel is telling me not to come back - except check-in, all the other staffs were basically indifferent and off-putting, lacks of sufficient a/c, and many things simply don't work. I notice that there will be a new Novotel opening soon right at the airport, but I even hesitate to stay at that new Novotel. I am going to stick with Hilton next time.

Good hotel. Clean rooms. Continent location. Unfortunately, the staff is slightly rude. It was booked for us by @Kesari Travels. During breakfast, we were told that the bread toaster is damaged and not available (as if the hotel was being managed by only one toaster). Apart from this, good experience.

I strongly suggest not to come in this hotel. There is no air condition. There was a fan in the room not working. They had to bring another one in the room. The other solution they provided was.... to open the window... we booked several rooms... this is the last time.

Ok modern hotel near Orly airport. Very friendly and helpful staff. Was more geared to families with children looking for economical place to stay. Free airport shuttle is a plus. Rooms are efficient, but not elegant. Our room was heating versus cooling (in July) - but staff helped resolve.

This hotel was booked by our tour co-ordinator for our stay in Paris for two nights. Good hotel with great staff and nice breakfast too. Ony scope of improvement could have been a better AC. Also if you are looking for late night access to Paris I would suggest getting a place closer to the city, but ofcourse the cost will be a factor.

At the end of the day I don't know if we made the right decision to stay close to Orly for our 10:00 flight home. Going to the city by Uber is about 30€. To reach Paris you need to go back to the Airport or take a public bus about four blocks away. Hotel room was nice and clean. Restroom looked like cruise ship bathroom. Only for one night if you must. Staff was very nice during check-in. Only complain was the A/C did not seem to work hard enough after a very hot summer day walking in Paris. (Room 334)

I stay in this hotel for a couple of days First of all it's amazing that they don't have a/c !!! They can offer to you a small fan (if they have available)!!! The rooms is like an oven !!! In the middle of the summer the room is more warmer than outside !! The service on the bar and the restaurant is very very bad! Only on the front desk they are good!! It's very noisy and the rooms are very very small. Also the bathroom is for tiny people!!!! Not recommended at all!!!!

Hotel is ok, at the other side of Rungis market in the middle of nowhere, not for tourists anyway. Close to Orly airport. Rooms are ok, not too big. Restaurant looks better than it is. I took a ceasar salad but with lots of reformed chicken instead of real chicken. Staff at the bar prefer not to work. I expect better from a hotel like this
