Our stay was in one of the 3-bedroom, 3.5 bathroom residences. It was a lovely unit with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We had a view of the mountains including a view of the gondolas as they went up and down the mountain. This was important because we were able to monitor the gondolas on the last day of operation before closing for the season. The gondolas stopped due to rain. We noticed them moving again and confirmed with the Ritz concierge that operation had resumed. We dashed out and were able to ride it to the top to play in the snow. The next day was the first snow fall of the season, which made the mountain look even more spectacular. The only downside of our residence was the close proximity to another building. The free shuttle is a nice service. It is not required, but I suggest having money ready for tips. There is a small restaurant/bar on the premises. The evening hours depend on whether or not they have customers. This can be frustrating if you go down at 7pm and it’s closed. Free coffee is served in the morning. Free tea and hot chocolate are available all day. Warm, fresh cookies are also available every day at 3pm. The wine and cheese social was very nice along with the first snowfall celebration. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and efficient. They were able to locate and provide a device for my elderly mother to use during our visit. This was my first visit and I hope it will not be my last. It was simply lovely.
This is our second stay at the Ritz in Vail as Marriott Vacation Club owners and we couldn't be more pleased. All the planning done ahead of time and our concierge, Theodore Krause, went above and beyond to ensure that my husband had a very special birthday celebration. It really is the little things that make all the difference- Theo personally delivered a Monopoly game and small bottle of champagne to our room. My husband loves to play Monopoly and this was the perfect opportunity to share his love of the game with his grandkids . Our 4 bedroom unit suited our family of 10 perfectly. Saving up our DP points for another visit!
The Ritz Residences is a fine hotel. The rooms are elegantly appointed, nice pool area (billed as Vail's largest) but what makes this hotel work so well is their service. The entire staff, beginning with the valet team is exceptional. In fact, as the "first touch" for guests, the valet team members were incredibly welcoming & did their best to make sure we were comfortable while waiting for our hotel room to become ready (we arrived way too early). The complimentary shuttle service in the Vail area is a total bonus & makes the guest experience that much better. I highly recommend the Ritz!
Spent 12 days here June 18-30. This was our 3rd year staying here and can't say enough good things about this property. The concierge staff is excellent as are the valet staff. Always ready to offer friendly service and bottle water. Great to return from grocery stores and have bags delivered to room. Great condo with twice daily maid service. Chocolate chip cookies at 3 PM daily as well as wine and cheese party on Thursday as well as very good entertainment Thurs-Friday. Convenient location with great restaurant and shopping nearby and the Ritz shuttle van available if you prefer not walking to Lionshead or Vail Village.. A wonderful experience and already booked for 2018.
We had a trip with our extended family and stayed in one of the three bedroom residences. Holy mackerel! The "room" was one 2400 square feet. Beautifully appointed, luxury touches throughout with a fabulous view of Vail mountain, I felt the worries and stress of my "regular" life melt away as we settled in. The kitchen was capacious with plenty of room and crockery to cook and serve for the 12 people this residence was designed to hold. The staff were super-attentive and extraordinarily polite and welcoming. The Ritz is situated on the western edge of Lionshead Village. The gondola and the entire village are an easy 3-10 minute walk (depending on where you go) from the Ritz. Vail Village and the Ford Amphitheater and botanical gardens are a beautiful 2 mile stroll along the river. We availed ourselves the pool and bar -- both were above average and well staffed and maintained. Only one real complaint: the appliances. Specifically the stove and oven. The controls are very obscure and difficult to use. I mentioned this to the concierge on our way out and he mentioned that the Ritz was going to replace them. Overall, the Ritz Residences were a fabulously relaxing and luxurious experience befitting the Ritz name. Highly recommended!
日本語は英語の後に続きます。 We visited Vail in the so-called "Mud Month": however, we were blessed with the perfect weather with only few drops of rain during the week we were there. The impeccable service impressed and satisfied us. Among many five-star hotel experiences we have had so far, this place would be one of the best 3. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, so helpful and considerate. Housekeeping was perfect. Attention was paid to every single detail. I cannot desire more. I thank all the staff we met and congratulate them on their unparalleled level of professionalism.
If you are looking for a 5-Star accommodation with 5-Star hospitality then Ritz Residences in Vail, CO cannot be beat. Our condo was superior....great for my husband and I as well as for the kids. We wanted for absolutely nothing. The kids loved the pool, the daily chocolate chip cookies and the S'mores...there is a great workout facility, but we never used it, as we were outdoors all day, every day. Great coffee in the morning...water and sunscreen are always available, as is the complimentary shuttle...very quick and everyone is extremely helpful and attentive. Bikes are available for rent on the property and a great paved trail is right out back...you may walk or ride to the Vail Village and Lions Head. Top Activities: #1-4th of July Parade in Downtown Vail....If you go to village the day before, you may find there is an opportunity for the kids to actually be IN the parade. Ours were a part of the "Supergoop Sunscreen Crew" and actually got to walk and ride in the parade....The Supergoop staff were so incredibly nice and even sent us a box of Supergoop when we got back home. Great product...shameless plug! #2-Fireworks in Avalon...at the base of Beaver Creek. Fantastic display, set to music...on July 3...We dined at the Minturn Country Club (not really a country club, but rather an "old fashioned" restaurant, where you select your own steaks or seafood and cook it over one of the huge grills...salad bar and sides are good, but the meat and actually cooking it yourself is what keeps our family coming back! #3-Beaver Creek 4th of July Family Activities....Tons of fun, laid back, at the base of the mountain so our older kids (9 & 13) could run around and explore, while we enjoyed a cocktail at one of the fantastic restaurants at the base of Beaver Creek. #4-Beaver Creek Fireworks....Last year we stayed in Vail and watched those fireworks...in 2015, we stayed in Beaver Creek and we definitely preferred the overall experience at Beaver Creek...I would make the trip over for the Beaver Creek fireworks on July 4. #5-Ritz Carlton-Bachelor's Gulch....Just an all-time favorite...We stayed at RC Bachelor's Gulch in December 2015 and had an amazing time skiing (FIRST CLASS) ski experience and SO easy with kids...but, that should be another review...In the summer, it's just fun to head over for breakfast, brunch or lunch and enjoy the food and ambiance. Dogs are welcome, btw...Great service and great spa...as the Ritz Residences do not have a full-service restaurant nor a full-service spa...if you are looking for either Ritz Bachelor's Gulch is amazing (same area as Beaver Creek). #6-Right across the street from Vail Village is a road that goes up into the mountains and ends at a glacial lake...complete with modest lunch options, canoeing and paddle boarding. It's a bit of a drive (1 hour or so), but it's beautiful and the views up and back are gorgeous. The kids had fun paddle boarding on the lake. #7-R&R-You simply cannot go wrong with a summer trip to Vail. There are several free hikes and family activities (look up online), you may rent bikes, go up the mountain to Adventure Ridge for lunch/zip lining and the alpine "rollercoster"...the kids LOVED the roller coaster, even though we rode it in the rain....There's horseback riding, rafting....fabulous shopping and great food! There's SO much to do...Vail and The Ritz Residences are one of our all time top picks for an unforgettable, don't even have to plan, family getaway.
We stayed for five glorious days of pure enjoyment. We skied and our boots were kept warm and our skis waiting by the gondola. We were went out the door and were offered water. The place was immaculate and in excellent condition. We were a group of six sometimes eight and there was enough of everything for everyone. Hot chocolate, hot coffee, the gym the spa, the fire pit, the pool. Just fun and easy.
The Ritz is synonymous with luxury, and this resort does not disappoint. Within easy walking distance of the Lionshead Base, you are minutes from the center of the action. the rooms are very well appointed.
We stayed here for a 5 days and it was the first time in a Ritz Carlton property. I was amazed at what I was missing all these years. The staff was very helpful, the three bedroom unit was fabulous, and the location was perfect. The unit was so large that we got lost finding our bedrooms and there was more closet space than my own house in California. I would highly recommend this property if you are planning a trip to Vail.
