Where do I start. When we checked in around midnight the room was 90 degrees when we entered the room. Every hotel in Uvalde was sold out. So here begins our stay. Traveled with family. The front door had no latch. Bathroom window slid right open to the outside. Room was so dated. We never went for breakfast the thought of grossness would never leave our minds. Limited channels on tv. Dead roaches in the bath tub. I've worked for Indian owned hotels for years. So I know complaining wouldn't matter. And refunds are not happening. The pool was so green. Noway was my family getting in that nasty pool. We sucked it up and stayed. Everyone wore house shoes not taking any chances. We got the hell out of there as soon as we could. Thank God we had a house to go home to. Blessings to everyone. Uvalde is a nice city. With more hotels to choose from. Don't make this one your first choice. I had a list of problems I Should have written them down. No phone in room. This room was room 222.
Air was cold and bed was comfortable, other than that the place was very marginal. The trim in the bathroom was rotted, only 1 pillow on the bed, rough towels and very noisy. The coffee that was in the room tasted like dirt. It was no wonder why it was the last place in town to have a room available.
Well we were told check in time was 2. We couldn't get pur room till 330. Then I booked a king non smoking room on website. When we got their they had us down for a double bed from. They fixed that. Then the ac in the room barely worked.
The location is great, it is pretty central and close to our favorite restaurants. The pool is clean. Breakfast is good. The bed is very comfortable. The room has a chair and footstool as well as a desk with a chair. There is a microwave and a mini fridge, a coffee pot, a blow dryer and an iron and ironing board!
We stayed here because it was cheaper than the other hotels and now I know why. Pretty much everything was broke or falling apart in the room. The decor looked like it was the 1970s. They really need to invest in fixing up the hotel.
The stay was nice except for the breakfast in the morning wasn't as much of a variety as I thought. The lady's that worked there where a big help. I don't think I will ever return there only because of the distance but I would recommend it for the price.
Location ideal. Staff very helpful. Room clean and roomy. Amenities as you would wish. Continental breakfast basic but on par for the price and staff were there to help with this as well. Good value for the price
After Paris, Texas had no water in their pool, called ahead to be sure the one in Uvalde we had reserved for four days, DID have water. YES, she said. BUT when we got there, was informed pool was sick, after three days of waiting, and 'five gallons of shock', we left for Days Inn.
upon coming here at first i though it was going to be ok,,,then within the first 4 days i was moved 4 times ,,,because of no hot water,, alarms going off,, no wi fi ,,,etc,,, finally upon getting settled in i began to get comfortable and then i noticed the pool was dirty,, so i asked repeatedly to have the pool cleaned,,, working for a construction company staying here by the month with an entire group we wanted to enjoy the pool when not working,, the reply was always were cleaning it ,,,but it never got cleaned week after week it got worse,, so finally upon telling the hotel i was going to leave they advised the owner whose reply was the pump was broke and she wasnt fixing it,,, the hotel staff,,,the staff are excellent,,,Dena,, Genisus,,and the other younger girl,,,absolutely awesome ladies,,nelda,,, blanca,,,those ladies do all they can to help the guest,,but when you have an owner who does clearly not care about her hotel or her guest,,,that speaks for itself,,,,when rentingh by the month and paying 1100 a month form a construction group you would think the owner would want to keep the buisness,,,,she clearly has no care or concern about her guests,,,,this hotel has like 84 rooms with only 40 able to be rented because of lousy ownership,,,,the maids must buy their own cleaning suoolies,,,shes taken away the bleach for them to clean with,, the amommonia for them to clean the tiles and floors with,,,the tissues from the rooms,,,,whats next,,,the same owner also owns Amber Sky,,and Motel 6,,,,,,,so i dont expect their ammenities will be any better,,,,,,the staff is great,,,,,really great... all of them ,,and the maids they work hard to be paid under minimum wages,, its sad,,, dont believe this review stop on by ..drive on ikn,, and walk over and look at their dirty pool,,,,it is sad
