It is so important that I adequately express how perfect this stay was. The communication prior to arriving was exceptional and took all the guesswork out of the equation. Arriving at the Shiraz Cave was so exciting when approaching this beautiful place with the many colorful umbrellas adorning the patio leading to our most amazing room/cave that predates Jesus himself. But even more spectacular than all that was the greeting from Berat, the son of the family that owns this slice of heaven. I am not even going to try to put into words the warmth, kindness, and above and beyond service showered upon us. As much as we love being in Turkey, we love the Turkish people even more, and Berat and his family exemplify that many times over. Our room was unique and wonderful in every way. We were only a couple of minute walk from the town center and the castle. Berat helped us with everything about our stay. The breakfast each morning was definitely world-class. Sitting on one of the several patios while having tea or wine was totally peaceful. There are so many more wonderful things we can say about our stay but just know that you will love the experience of staying at the Shiraz Cave. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

This place was amazing. Stayed late April 2024. The room was very large--bedroom had huge comfy bed, and right in front of it was an alcove with turkish cushions--large enough for several people to sit around--didn't show well in pictures of room, but amazing area. The bathroom was huge--good water pressure. The living area was also great with wrap around seating, 2 large chairs by whirlpool bath, regrigerator for our stuff. The breakfast was the best we had on our trip! The hosts are super nice and hospitable. The area is full of old caves carved into the walls, but this hotel had a super bonus--If you walk about 75 yards from the entry door there is a tunnel--that is just for water drainage, but beside it is a white gravel road. As you walk along it you will enter a small valley with amazing history along it--the road continues and crosses the tunnel area and goes up to Ortahisar just below the castle--which is in full view by now. It was one of the prettiest locations we saw anywhere. It's a steep walk going into town but well worth it. Entire walk up to town less than 10 minutes. Don't miss this. As a bonus I actually slept 8 hours the first night--haven't done that for a very long time--very quiet. Great experience. Thanks so much, Craig and Staci.

We had an excellent experience staying in Shiraz Cave. Got a treatment just like a family. Farooq and Gulshan provided very elaborate breakfast. They went out of the way to get me gluten free cookies. We spend time in the evening for almost 3 hours to wait there before our flight and Farooq was so generous to make coffee for us and gave us wonderful treatment. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a personal treatment.

Amazing stay

We stayed in this hotel for 4 days (3 nights). The staff was very kind, helpful and sweet. They arranged transfer to and from the hotel and everything was really nice. A bit noisy during the day because they are building a swimmingpool. Clean and tidy rooms, very nice Turkish breakfast and offered us coffee, tee or water whenever we came by the reception. Free of charge. Perfect located 2 min walk from the city center.

a Cappadocia experience with a cave room

So glad we picked this cave hotel in Cappadocia, Ortahisar. We picked a “cave room” for a full Cappadocia experience and it was a dream. From check in to check out, it was a 5 star-experience. Faruk Bey and Gülşen Hanım are wonderful hosts, always present, smiling, ready to help. Cave room is perfect with a big, comfortable bathroom. The terrace in front of the room is a star with a view, seeing the cave houses around. Gülşen Hanım prepares wonderful breakfast, with fresh veggies, homemade jams and cheeses. Breakfast is so enjoyable at the terrace. Location couldn’t be better with only a few minutes walk from the Ortahisar center and the castle. Thank you to Faruk and Gülşen for giving us a wonderful, relaxing stay and for making us feel welcome throughout our stay. I highly recommend Shiraz Cave Hotel! I hope to visit again and would definitely stay at Shiraz.

Berbat kesinlikle gidilmez kokusu rutubeti cave bile olsa fazlaydi , kahvalti dalga geçer türden bir kahvaltiydi hayatimizin en kötü tecrübesiydi 2 gece almıştık bu kosullarda doger gece kalamayacagiz dedigimizde iade edilmedi kalan bir gecemiz.
