I stayed here for a conference. It is not the hotel I would choose. The rooms are small and badly designed. They feel like what one would imagine a hotel behind the iron curtain. The lobby looks nicer and the breakfast area is well done design wise. Breakfast is good but it gets crowded and one has to wait for a free place to sit. The fitness area is a joke: it is tiny storeroom in the cellar; they really do not want anybody to do sports.
I fly into/ out of Munich quite regularly on business and normally stay in a Holiday inn close to the airport, I decided a change was needed and found this hotel, it is so much better and normally cheaper also. Helpful friendly staff, really good restaurant and good choice of food. My room is always upgraded being a Gold member which is nice. The only thing I find negative is it can get quite noisy in the corridors first thing in the morning with cleaners and especially noisy guests talking really loudly coming out their rooms. A much better stay than the airport hotels but obviously further away, but I would still recommend staying here instead.
Our welcome upon arrival was friendly enough, we even got an upgrade upon arrival! The room had an odd layout with the bed on an angle but it was ok. Furniture and bathroom are in need of some updating but the room and hotel was absolutely spotless. It is a bit too far from Munich Centre unless you have a car - this however, will cost you €12 to park. Tea/coffee making facilities, toiletries and free wifi, a good deal for the room. The morning staff were a little brusque when checking out.
The room is clean, appliances are fully provided. Need to improve the quality of breakfast buffet especially for tour group. Also the hotel wifi is free but the quality is not good as it is not very stable and speed is quite slow as well.
I have just stayed in this hotel, and the price I have paid was more than one hundred fifty euros/day. I arrived at around 1 am in the morning. There wasn't even a bottle of water in the room. I would happily pay £20-£30 for this hotel. Not more that this. It is a self service hotel. I am a premium member of IHG club, but still I get absolutely no service here. Absolutely disgusting. Last year I paid up to $400 per night for Holiday Inn Munich, but again, same condition.
I stayed one night while driving down to Austria. It's close to the highway so quite convenient. There's paid parking in the garage (12 euro per night) and there also seems to be free parking behind the hotel (but you have to specifically ask). Rooms and hotel interiors were pretty average, but so is Holiday Inn within the IHG brands so it was in line with expectations and fine for a quick overnight stay (but perhaps not for a vacation in Munich). Breakfast was surprisingly good, with an egg station, great breads and a good selection of other items; the restaurant's interior was also very nice (nicer than the hotel itself). There is a small cafe next to the check-in area, which makes good coffee - this was an unexpected nice touch. So in total: average hotel, good breakfast, good coffee -- I would consider staying here again if driving through Germany.
It has spacious and comfortable rooms for events and the catering is very good. The rooms have got narrow walls and you can listen to everything happening around it. The bed was very small and stuck to the wall when it is not very quiet. The taxi lasts 30 minutes coming to the hotel.
Clean a spacey rooms! Pleasant and helpful staff. Got upgraded on checkin into a superior suite from suite being a Spire elite. Lots of parking space underground. Lidl supermarket and a few shopping places nearby.
I make many business trips to Ottobrunn and this Holiday Inn has become my favorite. Good clean rooms, excellent bar area where you can order food from the restaurant, a modest gym and mostly inaccessible spa, but... for 5 euros you get to use Stefan Gym next door. A excellent gym with a great spa. Some rooms on top floor are two level with bedroom area on top. First looks great, but then gets tiring
Excellent hotel, very spacious, quiet and comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast too; boiled eggs just how I like them. Coffee pot on each table too, very civilised. Location is not central to the city, but hotel is close to the local railway station at Taufkirchen Spitze!
