I absolutely loved this place! So beautiful and the separate kitchen was so welcoming in a diner setting. Love it!! Grounds are amazing. Such a gem, right off the highway.

Lovely lakeview. No AC, but that was okay as it was cool. Bathroom was clean. Beds were somewhat comfy. Lots of mosquitoes, but with it being right next to a lake, that is to be expected.

This could be a stunning location. They just need to paint the place, cut the lawn, put some firewood out. The location was comment and easily to get to. It could be a resort but the only staff I saw was watching TV. IThe room was clean and adequate. Too bad I could have been a great visit.

Don't go there, it is a cabin motel with out nothing around. Need to drive a total of 90 km back and forward to have food. Took 5 minutes to have access to a warm water. Tap water had a terrible smell and taste

You need to phone for reception personal to check in at the front desk. Only community kitchen far away from rooms. No amenities except two small bars of soap. Towels are yellow and stained. Don't be fooled by the beautiful picture of the Lake. Don't stay here if you have other alternative.

The lake view was lovely and the room was dated, but comfortable enough for one night. The TVs didn’t work (in any rooms). There was a mini fridge in the room, but no microwave, hair dryer or shampoo. Was definitely overpriced.

An affordable choice versus staying in Thunder Bay. The main bedroom was clean, laminate flooring, clean crisp sheets and nice furniture. The staff was very considerate and friendly. The bathroom is where some updates are needed. The shower curtain had mold all along the bottom stitching. There was evidence of mold above the window. A good cleaning and paint would make a world of difference. The wifi was starlink, with great signal. There was no air conditioning but for us the night cooled down enough that it wasn't needed anyway. There was some noise from traffic but was muffled enough that it didn't bother us. Had a great night's sleep.

Sadly, this one time lovely destination spot has become a deep disappointment. The rooms were not clean and there were no amenities to speak of: no coffee maker in room, no microwave in room, no sundries available for purchase. The website, brochures, and billboards all advertise continental breakfast, in room amenities, and items for purchase but these were available under the previous owners and are no more. The walking trail was lined with piles of dumped trash, making a once beautiful location a disappointment to say the least. Plan to stay at one of the hotels one either end of this long stretch of highway but avoid English River.

Property was clean and beautiful. Being to close to the lake and hearing the loons was fantastic. Would 100% stay again, only thing we wish we had was coffee for leaving.
