The room was very big. No kettle though does have a mini fridge and you can use a very clean kitchen to get hot water for hot drinks. Area around was quiet with places to eat and buy items like milk if needed. Breakfast was large. Pool was nice. A construction site next door, though it was quiet even when they were working. I did walk to Ubud mainstreets. It took me around 50 minutes and I took detours and looked around. Traffic in Ubud centre was congested though around this accommodation was quiet.

The service and amenities at Kutus Kutus do not match the price. Communication from staff was poor and it seemed as though everyone working there was poorly trained. Multiple problems occurred during our stay. The pool was green for the whole time and we were unable to swim in it. Each day we asked for it to be fixed but no result. We were told there was no other villa to move to because the only free villa also had a green pool. When we asked at checkout for a partial refund because we didn't get the pool that we paid for we were told there were no staff that had the authorisation to process a refund. The room safe was locked on arrival and no one was able to open it. We were told we'd be provided with a replacement safe but that didn't occur. The wooden slats in the shower are rotting and one broke when my friend stood on it. There were stains on all the linens. The outdoor living area does not feel clean and comfortable, it looks like there's mould on the armrests of the dining chairs. Linens were taken away during room service (face towels) and never replaced. There is no phone line to reception you need to use whatsapp instead but they don't provide the whatsapp contact at check-in. No one came to the villa to take our breakfast order on the last evening of our stay nor did they ask us via whatsapp. Our stay was also meant to include airport transfer but the staff never asked us or made arrangements, we did not trust the staff so used our own driver instead.
