This was a very convinient location if you want to be in the heart of Ubud, you are only a 2 minute walk from lots of nice restaurants and shops! We were two young travelling females and felt very safe the whole time throughout our stay. Super friendly and accommodating staff, and the housekeeping was excellent! The air conditioning was only okay but they supply bottled water every day! the property is older but there was access to a fridge and the family-run vibe was really welcoming!! I would definitely recommend if you're looking for somewhere to go back to at the end of the day after spending your days walking around Ubud!

Short stay in Ubud
Simple guest house in 10 minutes from Ubud Center. The shower is in the room without roof. Internet more or less good. Long narrow road goes to parking place. Could be noisy in the morning due to wild life. It starts from sunrise if you want to have some sleep.
Ketu was very helpful and caring. I arrived in the evening having not eaten in a while and he offered to drive me on his scooter to fetch some dinner. Super nice man. Also arranged for to have a massage in my bungalow which was much needed after traveling nearly 48 hours. Thanks Ketu!!!
This place is actually really nice, for solo travelers or families. The bungalows are pretty cool place to stay in at the Astawa house, a first hand Bali experience, quite tranquil just beautiful one on one with nature..I just extended my stay here, I have been here since almost 15 days now. Only thing is breakfast needs to have more variety..but the rest was a bliss, not too expensive either!
Do not stay here. I booked the bungalow for 2 nights and had a terrible experience. Had to leave after the first night even though I could not get a refund. The room was super dirty, sheets and curtains were covered with black stains. Staff does not speak a word of English, so when I tried to check out after one night I was told I would get a refund, which I learned was not true, they just did not understand what I was saying so the kept saying yes to everything which was really frustrating. Then the front desk person just gave me the card to contact the hotel manager because they could not get a hold of them. There is construction going on next to hotel so it was super loud with construction, dogs barking all night, roosters, and 2 lizards living on top of the mosquito net over the bed who were making noise all night not to mention the millions of other bugs in the room. I knew for the price the bungalow would not be great, but this was next level bad. Even though I could not get a refund I still decided to pay only $10 more per night and check into a much better place down the street. It is also down an alley way and did not feel safe. Nothing good to say about this place.
