The air conditioning had not been switched on and our room aveed 24.5degC for the duration of our stay which made it difficult to sleep. The reception could not get it turned on. The only bar that was open was very small, poorly stocked and shut early.
This hotel has served us well when taking into consideration the price paid. Breakfast is great! Many options to choose from with items available for those gluten intolerant. The rooms are comfortable with heating and we also had a window. A clean hotel and helpful staff.
This is a decent hotel. Comfortable rooms (ask for a bigger room, because they have some very tiny rooms too). Wifi was acceptable, did have trouble getting on their wifi one day during my stay. Convenient location for the offices in Environment Park, and a nearby mini mall and Ipercoop.
This hotel claims to have four stars. I’m sure I’d seen better. My family and I, three of us, checked in in one of their superior rooms for three nights for Christmas 2018. I expected the room to be as comfortable and spacious as in my past experiences. In the room, inside the small fridge were only four half-a-liter bottles of water at 2€ apiece. In my past experiences, for the same type of room in a four-star hotel, the fridge would be full of a wide array of drinks all included in the room’s rent. To have four stars, a hotel is expected to rooms almost perfectly prepared so as not to overlook important details like, putting only two sets of towels where there are three guests, malfunctioning of the hair dryer, the exhaust fan of the bathroom, and the like. Breakfast was great and abundant. There were fruits, but no fruit knives. I asked one of the attendants to bring one, but she brought me a steak knife instead. My family and I had dinner in their restaurant during Christmas Eve. The food and the service was great. Well, I saw only seven customers, including my family and I. The waitress was amiable.
Our travel agent booked this hotel for 3 nights, for our family group of 7. The rooms were adequate and the staff were friendly but the online description on the hotel website is misleading. Nothing about the hotel is 'modern'. Most importantly the hotel is not a few a minutes to the Old Town, more like a 30 minute walk. It is not close to the main train station either. That was a 10 minute cab ride. The hotel is in a mostly residential area with few amenities close by. There was a small supermarket across the road but we arrived in the evening and it was already closed. My daughter and her family occupied a room with a balcony which overlooked an open area where people were drinking, and some were fighting. We arrived after a long train trip from Paris to find the dining room about to close, no room service and and all of the lovely bars described on the website no longer operating. The Garden Bar was permanently closed with repair work going on and the American Bar was in darkness the entire time we were there. There was one small bar open on the lower level. It had just two tables to sit at and we had to enter the dining area to find a staff member to serve us. No food was available. This may have been a lovely hotel in the past but it is now very dated and does not offer a full range of facilities that you would normally expect in a 4 star hotel. The operators should review their website description so that travellers get a realistic idea of what the hotel has to offer.
My wife and I booked this hotel because we didn’t think it was far from city centre. On arrival from Torino airport we had used the airport shuttle bus which stops at both railway stations. We stayed on until we got near the Nuova station but I don’t think it mattered as the hotel was near either. We ended up using google maps and it took us 45min walk with a medium wheel suitcases. We got to the hotel and the staff where very friendly and welcoming, and the room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Because of our trek across the city and not knowing the area we were staying, we decided to eat in the hotel. The meal we had was ok, but was so underwhelming that I can’t remember what I had. I just remember it was not the high standard that one would find in a family run trattoria or Osteria. The only good thing was the dessert. Next time I will make sure I book somewhere in the city.
This is a decent budget hotel, and most importantly, is close enough to Envi Park where our offices are located. One has to be careful about some rooms that can be really cosy with the tiniest bathroom showers. Some of these rooms have barely usable wifi. We had our rooms changed on the 2nd day. Breakfast is passable. There is an on-premise restaurant, standard fare, nothing special.
I don’t understand how this hotel has managed to keep his 4 stars. The staff was very nice and helpful. The place is old and does need some works. It looks dark and is not in a nice area of Turin. We got this hotel because we had amex points to use otherwise I wouldn’t have spent one penny in this place.
The hotel is a good 15 minute walk outside of the town. On the first night our air conditioning did not work in our room - 32 degrees?! They dealt with it quickly although we had to move all of our stuff to another room, which wasnt ideal. However plus points. Breakfast was adequate and the coffee was amazing. Staff very helpful and good english and helped us with maps and so on. Plenty of parking outside so no need to pay for the onsite car park. There is a Lidl across the road and a small bar at the end called tiffanys which was OK. Probably wouldn't stay again as slightly too far out but was in general a good hotel.
We stayed three nights in this hotel. Arriving by car, we had easy street parking for free right outside. The room was clean and comfortable though decor a little dated. We arrived on a Sunday night and, as mentioned by others, there are limited food opportunities in the immediate vicinity and hotel restaurant closed. However can highly recommend Ristorante di Giannini at Via Carlo Botta 10. Open Sunday evenings at 7.00pm. About 10-15 minute walk. The surrounding area is on the edges of the old town but I did not feel unsafe at any time. TV offered CNN and BBC World news in English which was appreciated. Only suggestion for hotel I would make is to have some coins available at reception for vending machines as they were unable to assist on the night. The mini bar could have a few soft drinks as well as water offered. The bar near reception also appeared deserted to us when we went for a drink.
