We've made a stop st he holiday inn in Torino because of 2 reasons! We're driving a oldtimer and he snd we needed a break! The have a good secured garage! Rooms are excellent with good working Climatisation . Friendly personal and nice verity for breakfast!!
Our long weekend stay was without problems, the underground into the city centre is just across the square, and there is a car park underneath the hotel. The buffet breakfast has a massive choice of dishes. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Recommended as an ideal base to explore this beautiful city
The hotel offers the quality you can expect from a Holiday inn anywhere around the world. It is located a bit outside the centre but it is very well placed for business, at walking distance of major companies. Moreover it is well communicated with downtown Turin and all its sightseeing and gastronomic experiences. The staff is competent and kind, all formalities are solved in no-time. The room is large and calm, the bed of good quality. The bath room is also large and clean. There was WiFi in the room with no limit of devices and sufficient bandwidth. Breakfast was of good quality and variety.
We stayed at Holiday Inn - Corso Francia between 9th-13th April 2017. When we booked our BA flights this was one of their selected hotels. The hotel is conveniently situated about 2 minutes walk from the Massaua Metro station which will take you into central Torino (Porta Nouva Station) in about 10 minutes (cost Euro 1.50). The hotel is also close to the Torino Tangenziale (ring road) which will take you to the Aosta and Milan Autostradas. Secure parking at the hotel is Euro 13 a day although there was plenty of parking close to the hotel if you are happy to take a chance. The room we had was on the 7th floor with views towards the Alps and was clean bright with a very good sized bed, windows that opened and was also equipped with a safe, coffee making facilities and also a good sized fridge. The bathroom had an excellent shower. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful (with local directions and use of pc for online check in). The breakfast area was very bright with good selection of food although the cooked options could perhaps been slightly better. My only negative comment would be that the staff serving were all rather miserable compared to the reception staff. If you are planning to go and see a Juventus match at their fabulous new stadium this is a good choice as it’s only about a 10 minute drive. There are also quite a few restaurants close by. We went to Gonzales Pizzeria, which had an excellent selection of food. We would come back again.
Stayed for an Easter weekend. We were given a room on the 7th (highest) floor due to spire elite status. Room quite spacious and bed quality very good. Despite room being booked for 2 only one bathrobe and slippers provided. Staff courteous and efficient. Smooth check in and out. Note: There is plenty of parking spaces around hotel so do not bother paying for hotels garage, although the price is good. The only dissapointment was the breakfast. Variety is good, however service is simply horrible. Very limited staff running around trying to clean, fill up missing items resulting in total chaos and non apetizing atmosphere. This happened during all mornings, so this must be a norm. They need to work on it. Location is not bad. Metro stop is literally meters away and it gets you downtown in 15-20 mins. Would probably stay again.
We were during 10 days. Have only one problem with the room temperature and we were changed to another room without dalay. Breakfast very varied, and good. They have a parkink with a lift going down from the same reception. Important: it take you 15 minutes to reach the center, but you have the metropolitan subway in front of the hotel. And also this hotel is in a nice pace to visit Torino with the subway and travel with a car if you're going to visit another pkaces out the town.
I like Holiday Inn, always seem to be old fashioned service and breakfast, which is a good thing. And they still have mini bars, so you can be trusted to fess up at reception when you check out, its not just an empty fridge that you request to fill. Positives: 1. Clean room, big room, Windows that open 2. Decent breakfast for 4 euros ( cheapest in Italy? ) 3. Near the metro, 10 minutes into Turin town centre. 4. Secure parking for 8 euros. 5. Good wifi, could be a little intermittent. Negatives: 1. The area? Bit sketchy at night. Not scary but if your not a seasoned traveller you might be put off by the graffiti and people hanging about by the kebab shop out the front. 2. The view at the back of the hotel isn't the best! There's an area at night where kids hang about playing music and drinking. Not that noisy with windows closed. 3. Our room smelled a little of cigarettes when we entered, not enough for us to move. We just opened the windows. Overall, good one night stay. More than that you might struggle. Also, it was cheap and worth the money.
We booked just one night with breakfast. Our room was little but had a big bathroom. Unfortunately the surrounding is noisy during the night. Hot water kettle available in the room. Really friendly staff. Car park (garage) available on site at 13€ per day. Breakfast buffet with a large choice of sweet food, salt food is limited but fair. Subway is really close (50m).
It's a little bit out of town so to speak, but maybe some people prefer that? Close to a Metro station and therefore reasonably easy to get around. Room is totally generic Holiday Inn i.e. good standard and clean, but the bathroom and especially the shower cubical was made for a person of less than average proportions let's say! Staff friendly; breakfast of good quality; wifi good.
Being a Holiday Inn hotel ensures some quality standarts, and on that side there are no surprises. Apart from that reception people are helpfull and even able to feel good hospitality. Breakfast is nice with 2 good surprises in: own sqwezed orange juice and at-the-moment-done pancakes. A good chice for Turin, which may be far from the city center, but you have quite near the Underground.
