Enjoyed staying at this hotel. Beautiful breakfast room, loved the ceiling light and decor. Breakfast was a real treat plenty of choice lots of cake! Our room was spacious and clean. Just one thing, why do hotels leave out lots of goodies and then charge for them. I really do not like this practise. They should either stick them in the mini bar, where you expect to be charged or leave them free. The location is excellent, try the river walk, turn left out of the hotel and walk until you hit the river, a nice change from pounding the pavement .
The room was fine. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The lobby bar was a great place to relax after walking all day. It is very close to one train station. There are a number of excellent restaurants within short walking distance.
Very good location at 3 minutes walk from the shopping street and 8 from the city center. The hotel offers good comfort and is clean. I recommend to avoid the hotel breakfast a go downtown in the nice coffee place in the center for much better food.
The positives are the location which is across from the train station, centrally located to restaurants and shops and one of the stops from the hop on hop off bus. The atmosphere is clean and modern but a bit "tired" in places. The beds are good and the rooms clean. Excellent lighting in bathrooms. The negatives are the air conditioning fan in the bedroom that banged loudly when turned on high (it was 87 degrees outside) and so the room had a difficult time keeping cool. The housekeeper kept shorting us either towels or toiletries every day. The breakfast (from Eatly) was the same every day and got boring by the third day. The most aggravating thing were the staff. Half were friendly and helpful and the other half should not be employed in a service industry. Especially the bar manager who thought taking wine glasses upstairs was a capital offense and he let us know how he felt. Or the front desk guy who thought taking my freezer pack to the kitchen was beneath him. Service truly does make or break a hotel. The hotel manager needs to review all employees and train them on the essentials of making the customer happy.
Very well located in the centre next to a pedestriane street. Wifi worked good. The staff was very friendly and spoke English fluently. Breakfast so and so, could definitely have been better. Rooms spacious.
The location of the hotel is perfect for a city break. It is pretty much opposite the bus stop that you drop off at from the Sagem airport bus (it is the last stop from the airport). On the immediate side street from the hotel is a pedestrianised street with shops and restaurants - this street leads to the Egyptian museum (10 mins walk) and to the Royal Palace (a further 10 mins walk). It is very safe and we found it was a fantastic base to walk around the city and enjoy the sights. The hotel itself was nice and to a four star standard. The rooms are spacious. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The only downside we found was at breakfast: items would regularly run out even though it wasn't busy, and staff seemed to disappear so you'd have to wait to talk to someone about getting more food or drink out - this was disappointing and not what you'd expect from such a hotel.
This visit of ours we stayed in 2 star hotels one in naples and the other turin so comparing the two became very easy for us.. The positives.. The wifi in this hotel is very strong, the staff is very friendly and helps you with directions and informations, they speak fluent English, very very close to the station, super safe locality and very close to the buzzing street (literally 2 mins away) so much so that we walked around for an hour after our dinner on Saturday listening to the amazing music and eating Gelato.. Negatives : room is much smaller than the hotel in naples and the breakfast had something lacking to it.. However overall it was a good experience staying at this hotel and will definitely stay again when we visit turin..
We stayed here at the end of a family holiday in Tuscany. It was convenient for the main sights and the staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable and we would definitely use again.
We met an honest, Italian taxi driver. Exiting the train station, we made our way to the taxi line and asked how much to go to Star Majestic hotel. "Oh no, you can walk!" It was around the corner and down two blocks! Lovely hotel in a city that I really liked, having heard that Turin was industrial, etc. Nicely decorated rooms, and ambiance. Close to good walking streets, piazzas, shops and restaurants.
This hotel was chosen for us as it was near the railway station where we would be leaving from to go to the heel of Italy. It was comfortable, central and with very helpful staff. Restaurant served good food and wine.
