Best Western Crystal Palace Hotel

Formerly a Mecure hotel, the crystal palace is in a perfect location, near the train station and only a few mins walk from all the sights. There is parking in the hotel, but it was on a first come first served basis (at the time of booking) and we were lucky to get the last space for 20 euro a day. The hotel itself is a lovely old building with large rooms and bathroom. I would definitely come back again.

We booked this hotel based on location and prior reviews. We booked a family room which has a loft with a bed, desk, and television and main floor had sofa bed, large table, large bathroom, 2 veranda, and a television. This property is so clean and the staff very welcoming and helpful. We arrived early and staff held our bags in a secure location. Breakfast was basic but very good. Highly recommend this property for travel to Turin!

We had a nice family room - with a mezzanine. Little kitchen. Balcony. Quite spacious. Hotel is a bit tired but it is still quite ok. Nice breakfast and extremely friendly staff. Very central near the station. Quite some homeless there around. Area did nor feel threatening though.

Handily placed near the railway station. An OK four star hotel. Received an upgrade to a suite. Check in was good. Breakfast ok but underwhelming. The recent changes from Accor to Best Western haven't been fully and effectively communicated although the staff seem to think that they have. Staff on check out were not the best.

We stay room 502 "penthouse". Room looks okey, maybe design was a little bit colourful. Space enough for 2 people. Bathroom with jacuzzi, but shower was difficult, because U must stand on the jacuzzi. Breakfast room located also on the 5th floor and breakfast was very delicious and service was excellent. That was the good things....every time when U coming the room, smell was bad, air was musty. Outside area was full of the vaguely people, especially evening, night time.

It's a refurbished Best Western, with large and clean rooms. Hotel appearance is simple, but the staff works to make you confortable. Breakfast is various and a bit more than medium, service is clever. Good bathroom set. The neighbourhood doesn't invite you for a walk, unless you are looking for a not ordinary entertainment ;) - but you sleep well. Towels to be renewed and a very used room's card cardboard, leave you perplexed.

Stayed here in October while travelling through Italy. Very close to train station so is a very short luggage drag. Arrived late afternoon on a Sunday so most restaurants are closed so plan ahead. Quiet clean rooms located in the heart of Torino. Good buffet style breakfast with lovely selection of fruit and yogurt.

We booked into this hotel for New Year's Eve and are so glad we did. The first big plus was navigating Turino without and problems and stabling our car safely and securely in a courtyard behind the hotel. We were early but this posed no problems in accessing our room and allowed us a full afternoon to make the most of brilliant sunshine to explore. Due to the hotel's central location (yes, it is in a scruffy street but it's only a block or two till you are mixing it with high end shopping, and we never felt threatened) we managed to see a lot in one afternoon. The very helpful desk staff managed to find us a dinner reservation for New Year's Eve at the last moment for which we were very grateful. As we were meeting up with family in Turin that night, we were thrilled to find our room contained a full sized table and kitchenette, as well as a mezzanine level bedroom and balcony. There was plenty of space for the six of us to use our room to chill after dinner till taking a ten minute walk to see in the New Year with the revellers in the Piazza San Carlo. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and of great variety. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel.

I stayed at the Mercure hotel for 2 nights on a business trip to Torino. The hotel is literally across the street from the train station. The surrounding area looks tattered but I didn't ever feel unsafe outside the hotel. My room was very basic and small. The bed and bathroom are also very small in the standard rooms. The room had a nice balcony facing a courtyard which was a nice touch. The hotel is conveniently located to all of the main sites in the city - I walked everywhere. There is a nice grocery store one block behind the hotel for any snacks, beverages, etc. There is no real restaurant in the hotel. Wifi was good. Despite the hotel being very basic, I found it to be a good value for the location. Would consider again for business but probably not for tourism.

This hotel is located right next to the Porta Nuova train station where local and slower long-distance trains stop as well as the airport shuttle bus. The main shopping areas such as Via Roma is also just a stone's throw away - the location is in other words great. The street just outside is not the charmiest, in line with many streets around European train stations, though it feels perfectly safe. The hotel itself is housed in an old building but with modern, somewhat quirky rooms. Our room had a balcony, not only outside, but a mezzanine -level about very the bed as well. This space, though charming, felt unnecessary, not room for much up there and indeed the cleaning staff probably thought the same, because they had not cleared away the cigarette butts (?!) and beer bottles from the previous guests we found up there. The beds are nice and the bathroom is clean and well-equipped, so overall perfectly ok rooms. Breakfast is buffé-style, not huge, but more than average by Italian standards. Check-out time is 10 o'clock, which feels a bit old-fashioned and we never saw more than one person at the reception, which meant that checking out was kind of chaotic. In all a perfectly decent hotel in this sadly "forgotten" tourist destination.
