The hotel was probably nice 40 years ago. Now it needs considerable renovation. Dining room floods when it is raining. Most bathrooms are not working well. Kind staff but bad price/quality ratio. The quality of the food is also not bad, provided you are not there in the weekend, when it dramatically decreases (not enough people, maybe).
Our short stay was comfortable. Food was nice. Waiter staff need to be more engaged and attentive. Chef team efficiently explained food choices at dinner. We would return again to the hotel but the hotel should consider investing in an indoor swimming pool or spa facilities.
Staff are kind , location is terrible and week WIFI. Reasonable price. The view of the room that they gave is not good. Breakfast buffet is very poor.friendly lady called Amira in the restaurant. My recombination to the hotel management to think for more improvement
Before flying to Turkey, I was obliged to stay in Tunis and needed a room for 3 days. It was just before the Ramadan Festival. My colleagues reserved one room for me at this hotel and told me they generally use this one for their guests. It was fine. The location not bad. Not too far to the centrum. Also not too far from the airport. The taxi fares are fair in Tunis. The wi-fi connection was fine at the room but better at the lobby. No special scenes from the rooms. I think there was a free private parking place at the back of the hotel but I am not sure if it is really safe. We had our "suhur" at the hotel. They offered limited options to eat, but anyway it was not bad and you can find something suitable for you. The overall cleaning was also fine. Unfortunately, around the hotel it is not really possible to find somewhere to do some sightseeing. But I can recommend the ice-cream seller which is really close to the hotel.
hi, hotel location true near the city center but in an industrial zone where its very dirty noisy and crowded, staff were so nice, food was very bad and expensive at the same time so we used to eat outside, housekeeping very bad u need to tell them what they need to clean and whet to change every time.
It looks very nice and wealthy on the outside and in the lobby but it's a pretty boring hotel. I would not recommend this hotel for a family or a group of friends, travelling together. Not a very attractive location, no pool, the food is ok.
No air condition working. Staff are unfriendly. It's worn rooms. Bad beds. Alot of traffic passing all the time. They don't have any mini bar. It have been on the top sometime ago, but now this is definitely over. Only good thing is free wifi.
I stayed for almost 4 nights in Le Diplomat and really, there are better and service-oriented hotels with a relatively comparable price. The room was OK, but the washroom was a desaster. The service, especially in the evening was unfriendly, whereas in the morning, a bit better. The location was OK and the breakfast acceptable. Being honest, it is by far not a four star.
Broken facilities in room - mirror fell spontaneously off wall, toilet kept flushing, door would often not close properly and AC would not work. Disgusting bar - full of male smokers, décor like an Irish ballroom of the 60s. Breakfast selection was limited. Hotel is situated in a street of car mechanical workshops. Staff are sleasy. It would not be difficult to find better accommodation!
This hotel has some pros and cons. On the good side come the room space, cleanliness and the fact that most of the staff were very helpful. In addition it is very close to the city center and madina. I only took breakfast in the hotel. It was of above average quality. On the other hand, the hotel surrounding was dirty. I visited other hotels in Tunis and most of were located in far better surroundings.
