Overall great service. the hotel is slightly out of date but rooms are extremely spacious and clean. Location is amazing, vwalking distance to Medina and train stations. The staff were very nice and friendly. We
Hello i booked using well known online provider and 6 days after they cancelled the booking! If they did not have enough rooms available in the first place they should have not posted availability and trick people with the benefits of over bookings and them choosing who stays and who is cancelled. I am furious as they are not professional and did not even call me to let me know. I found out from an email cancellation from the website! This could happen to anyone as they are not credible. tried calling about booking but the person responsible for bookings was not available and told me to call back. They lack professionalism and credibility!!
Location is good, close to city center and metro. But the comfort of the hotel is bad and room is full of insects. Furniture is old and ugly, Wifi doesn't work well. Staff is friendly, breakfast is also average. View from the room is very bad, suburbs of tunisia. When you compare with price, it doesn't deserve 5 starst.
In the heart of Tunis, the capital of Tunisia. Africa Meridian Hotel is the best place to stay in to be close to all the City activities locations whether for business or for pleasure. Access to the Hotel is vary easy and possible through all transportation media. Although the hotel is one of the most old ones in Tunis, it is still one of the most modern hotels from the outside and inside aspects.
It's a well located hotel. Friendly stuff. Perfect place if you want to visit the city or be here for business. Nice view of the city. Ask for a room in the top floors and you will love the view. Clean
We could see the multiple layers of security measurement in central Tunis, especially around the French Embassy which was much more reinforced from last year but we could see no inconveniences in roaming around. In fact we felt very secure staying at Africa Hotel. The commercial area along Avenue Habib Bourguiba was still business as usual. Africa offers quiet room, although standard room is a little tight for 2, spacious lobby, excellent breakfast, hot water with good pressure and comfortable HVAC system. This hotel has 22 floors, and the view from the higher floors is awesome and the receptionists are good at speaking English as well. Best of all, we could not resist the good price of Africa Hotel and compared with other Tunisian hotels, Africa beats them all in quality of services.
The breakfast buffet as well as the dinner buffet is creative, delicious and plentiful. Staff is friendly and attentive. The coffee coud be a better but this is a common problem throughout Tunisia for some odd reason
Overall very good experience and services. Please try to resolve the mosquito problem in the reception area. It makes it uncomfortable to sit and have drinks or meetings. Everything else was really great.
Best location in town on Habib Bou Rkeiba road, view from the 21st floor was amazing. It is clean but the building is old and roams can be renovated The variety at breakfast although wide but can be improved
Competitively priced and fabulous location for business, right in the heart of new quarter of Tunis with the sea breeze blowing down Avenue Bourghiba to Bab Bahr. Never a dull moment in this pedestrian-friendly precinct of trendy retail outlets, street-side cafes and bars, and folk musicians. Just a few steps to National theatre, Cathedral Saint Vincent de Paul and the medina - a wonderful labrynth of covered souq selling to locals far more than tourists. Staff at this hotel are really warm and friendly, and that counts for a lot. But the breakfast is beyond compare in range of foods and freshness of produce.
